本课主要学习有关介绍年龄、数的概念等，培养三年级学生初步用英语交际的能力。而第一课时主要是对询问年龄，考虑到三年级学生刚刚起步学习英语，我特意将一课时分为两课时来讲，不但可以让学生将所学的知识掌握到的更好，而且还有更多的时间进行巩固练习。三年级学生已经有了一学期的英语基础，基本能够适应课堂活动，所以我准备了些活动。我们学习英语的目的是能够在日常生活中灵活的运用英语，所以，树立以故事过生日主线，用生动有趣的数字卡片询问生日，带领学生们学习和练习重、难点句子How old are you ? I’m ten.用“连词成句”活动巩固知识，在这个活动中故意将单词卡片进行扰乱，目的是使学生能灵活运用、正确的掌握学到的知识。分小组、分角色朗诵课文更是将学生带到了课文中，让学生扮演故事人物Danny Jenny和Li Ming，让学生重现了课文中的情境。在愉悦的气氛中轻轻松松学英语。本节课最后设计了“小记者采访”，学生之间相互问年龄，做好记录。巧妙地引导学生将所学知识灵活的运用到实际生活当中来。培养了学生综合运用英语知识的能力，真正做到学以致用。
