一、整体设计思路
1、语言情境，通过接触、理解、操练和运用语言等环节，逐步培养学生实际运用语言的能力。
2、在英语学习中渗透教学学科知识，促进学生观察、思维、想象等能力的发展。
3、在小组合作完成真实任务的过程中使学生在“做中学、学中用”，培养合作意识。
二、教学目标
1、能根据听到的词句识别、指认图形：star, square, triangle, rectangle和circle,认读所学词语。
2、能就有关图形的话题进行基本的表达和简单的交流，如：How many stars? There are fourteen.
3、能用所学图形设计拼摆不同图形并做简单描述。
4、能积极参与教学活动，并有表达的自信，在了解故事和小组的过程中认可那团队的重要。
三、教学重点和难点：
1、教学重点：
1）听懂、认读词语star, square, triangle, rectangle和circle。
2）能用How many…?There are …. 进行简单交流。
2、教学重点：
1）square，rectangle，triangle的读音。
2）用英语对所设计拼摆的图案进行自如表达。
四、教学过程：
1、Warm—up:
通过智力游戏复习句子How many…?There are….
2、Presentation:
1)教师通过课件播放《The story of shapes》故事动画，创造真实语言情境，学生整体感知本课所学的内容。
2）再次播放故事动画，引导学生在图像的帮助下领会circle, square, triangle, rectangle和star 的含义，并能在黑板上摆出相应的图形。
3、Practice:
1）听音找图形：学生根据教师的提示说出相应的图形名称，如：pink-----circle; yellow—square等。
2）手工折图形：学生在教师的引导下，用活动用纸折出不同图形并用英语表达。
3）读卡片，贴标签：在教师的引导下，结合词语发音给黑板的图形找到匹配的单词，再根据每个小组的secret word，找到教室里具有相应形状的物品，为其贴上标签。
4）数图形：出示由多个不同图形组成的图案，清学生数一数：How many triangles/circles/…?引导学生回答：There are….s.
4、Production:
1)教师利用自制的七巧板拼摆出不同的图案，并对所拼出的图案进行情景描述。
2）小组合作，利用本组的七巧板拼出喜爱的图案，并作英语描述。
提醒学生在活动过程中尽量使用英语。
3）作品展示，请几组同学到前面展示作品并作相应的描述：
