做题时碰到有充分把握的先做,不确定的姑且先放一放,待处理完其它的答案时,再回头处理,这时由于对文章有了进一步的理解,往往可能会眼前一亮,有“山重水复疑无路,柳暗花明又一村”之效。
3. 善用文中信息,进行逻辑推断。
做几何证明题时,需要有足够的条件,才能推导出结果。
做完形填空时也是如此,需要搜罗证据,再进行逻辑推断,才能得出正确的答案。
如2007年广东省高考完形填空的第21空就是应用该能力推敲出来的。

4. 善用关联词语,把握逻辑关系。
文章的逻辑关系大多通过一些过渡性的关联词来实现,这些关联词能给考生指明答题方向。
常见的表示逻辑关系的关系词有:表并列关系的and, also, as well as等;表转折关系的but, however, yet等;表因果关系的because, because of, as, since, for that reason, so, therefore, thus, as a result等;表递进关系的besides, in addition, additionally, moreover, furthermore, what’s more等;表选择关系的or, either…or等。
5. 养成阅读习惯,丰富背景常识。
丰富的常识及文化背景知识有利于解题,考生平时要养成课外阅读习惯以扩大自己的知识面。

完形填空既考查学生的语法、词法、句法、习惯用法等英语基础知识的综合运用能力,又考查他们对短文的阅读和理解能力。
具体说来,是从语篇角度综合测试考生的阅读理解能力、词汇的掌握和对英语习惯用语的熟悉程度、以及语法规则的灵活运用。
1、考试出题的大致方向是:(1)词汇:某些词义的识别,同义词辨析。
英语习惯用法的熟悉程度。
(2)语法结构:语法规则的实际应用。
(3)语篇句意:从语篇角度,即上下文和情景语境综合测试考生的阅读理解能力(4)逻辑推理和生活常识2. 解题技巧:(1)重视首句信息:完形填空所采用的短文一般不给标题,且首句往往不设空,通常是个完整的句子。
这个句子往往是全文的关键句,它是了解全文的窗口,常常包含对解题有用的信息,因此考生要注重细读首句,并据此来判断文章的体裁,题材,推测全文的主旨和大意,推断故事发生的人物、地点、时间、气氛等多方面的特征。
(2)注意前后暗示:完形填空经常在短文中设置前后互相暗示的考题。
这里需要注意的是:若是前面暗示后面,做题相对来说比较容易。
但从对历届考题的研究情况来看,这种暗示多为后面暗示前面,也就是说前面的某些填空从当时的情况来看,或是线索不清,或是语境不明,无法填出,但只要我们继续往后看,就会发现此空在后面的某个地方有暗示。
(3)利用逻辑推理:做完形填空题的过程从本质上说是一个阅读推理的过程。
考生必须把握作者的思路,使自己的思维模式与作者的思维模式相吻合,同时考生还必须不断地从各个角度进行合乎逻辑的推理,并不断地验证推理的正确性,以达到理解全文、解决问题的目的。
注意文章前后的关系,如转折,顺承等。
