中国父母来英探亲签证（Family Visitor )签证申请主要步骤与费用：1、首先确认自己父母过去英国需要的签证类型。
2、英国在中国开通了网上申请表填写服务，网上填表，可以中途保存，完成后打印出来签名并递交。
Online Application 链接：/ApplyNow.aspx3、如果不想用网上填写申请表的服务，同学们可以把申请表打印出来以后再填写，两个方法都是一样的。
申请表格类型：Application form VAF1B - Family visitor申请表格下载链接：/resources/en/docs/1903073/VAF1B重要提示：1) 检查你的名字，你父母的名字是否已用拼音及中文填写。
2) 检查是否在名字的拼音下面标注了CCC（中文商务电码）号码。
3) 检查你的地址是否已用拼音及中文填写。
CCC中文电码查询地址：/~zhengjsh/cgi-bin/getCode.cgi 。
4、本人带上申请表，照片，其他申请材料和申请费用，到签证申请中心递交材料，无需预约。
暑假6——8月份是旺季，建议一大早就得去排队了。
（3点关门）5、等结果，递交完材料会给你一个REFERENCE NUMBER，可以在网上追踪签证审理进度。
6、拿结果。
其他需要的材料：一、中国方面要准备的材料1、照片。
灰白底，清晰，露脸，露头，露耳朵，露眉毛，非数码，3月内近照，彩色照片。
2、护照。
3、所有旧护照。
4、婚姻状况相关文件（结婚证原件及翻译件）。
5、工作单位出示的工作证明。
雇主单位用英文和单位抬头纸（headed paper）出具的证明，需原件，雇主签名及单位盖章。
6、户口本原件及翻译件。
7、工作单位出具的近期半年的工资单（PAYSLIPS），父母开公司的同学就可以自己制作，自己盖章，自己签名，你懂的。
8、税单，正常上班的用个人税单，开公司的用公司税单。
主要是企业增值税和企业所得税的税单，以证明公司在正常运作。

英国申请签证必看
Visa Application Form (VAF 10)这个毫无疑问是必须的，需要注意的是09年3月出了新表，不要用旧表了。
表的版本见表首页右上角。
我的材料清单，作为申请表的附件跟表一起交了。
在表上填其他相关信息那里，我填了请见附加页中的材料清单和主申请人写给签证官的信（后者对我来讲非常重要，后面有具体讲）。
如果你想突出这套材料中的某一个材料，就在这写出来。
签证官不会仔细看你的每一个材料，如果你认为最重要最有利的那份刚好被他一扫而过了，你就郁闷了。
F’s passport +复印件这个没什么可说的，显然是必须的。
F’s family book （户口本）+ 复印件 + 翻译件这个可以不交，不是必须的。
从国内递签，一般都认为户口本是必须交的，但实际递的时候人家明说了这个没有必要，我老婆坚持要交，她才作为辅助材料收的。
如果交这个对你没什么影响和困难，那就交呗，总没坏处吧。
户口本翻译模板坛子上到处都是，我就不贴了。
F’s passport sized photo这个没什么可说。
J’s passport 复印件我的护照的资料页和所有签证页以及签字页的复印件。
我有两本护照，新的旧的都复印，所有有签证的页都复印，两本的签字页都复印，最后按时间顺序排好。
J’s family book +复印件+翻译件我的户口本，其实没必要交。
还是那句话，交了总没坏处。
J’s Police Registration Certificate 复印件我的**局注册纸的复印件，没必要交原件。
该纸两面都要复印，即使背面什么都没写。
Marriage Certificate +原件+复印件结婚证，只要是配偶都必须交。
让我恨的是那结婚证上中文的语法都有问题，中文都不通，有些句子都没主语，翻译的时候超郁闷，直译出来简直就不是人话了。
我翻译的时候也借鉴了别人的模板。

赴英签证申请新政策及新流程
一对签证申请人进行生物信息采集
英国签证中心从2007年10月25日开始，正式实施对所有签证申请人提取生物指纹和数码摄像制度。
作为生物身份验证技术全球化进程的一部分，该技术的引进旨在确保个人身份的真实性，为入境英国者提供便利，打击签证欺骗和滥用英国移民和庇护体制的行为。
除非特别声明，所有的签证申请人必须完成指纹扫描和数码照片的拍摄。
如果申请人拒绝或不予提供合格的生物信息，签证中心将接受其签证申请。
每位申请者都要通过一个电子扫描仪完成指纹信息的采集。
在
此过程中，不需要用到任何墨水、液体或是化学制剂。
此外，申请者还需要拍摄一张数码照片。
整个程序不会超过五分钟。
按手印和拍照注意事项
1.按手印时：向下压手指时，要保持一定的力度，不能过轻确保指尖上没有任何的装饰品，如指甲油染
料等手指要干净、干爽，不要沾有杂物，也不要沾水手指上没有疤痕，也不能在手指外包扎创可贴等2.面部有疤痕或擦伤痕迹者，需在提供生物信息之前确保其已经治愈或消失，因为这些痕迹会关系到他
们能否提供符合要求的生物信息。
3.申请人在拍摄数码照片时，不能佩戴任何能遮住脸部的头饰、墨镜、围巾或面部的装饰物。
4.不能先按左手再按右手。
5.不能把手背隆起太多。
6.两只大拇指离得不能太远。
7.采集指纹一般经过最多三次扫描。
8.只有在申请人提供了规范的指纹扫描和数码照片生物信息以后，其签证申请才会予以受理。
特殊情况
1.如果遇到缺指或断指的残疾申请人，只需向签证申请中心说明原因，提交相关的医疗证明，就可免去残疾
手指的指纹扫描。
2.三类人可不用按
①5岁以下的儿童不要求提供指纹扫描数据，但需要拍照；
②手指残疾者；
③享有外交豁免权的外交人员和少数政府官员。

虽然增加了这一新的签证手续，但是签证申请费不变，也不影响签证时间。
唯一不便之处是所有签证申请者都必须亲自前往签证中心办理手续，且今后每申请一次签证都需要进行相关电子指纹扫描。
二使用新的申请表
从2007年10月29日起英国签证处正式起用新申请表。
11月2日以后旧申请表彻底废弃，所有签证申请者必须使用新签证申请表。
新签证申请表中增加了3种：
探亲访友签证申请表、学生签证申请表和工作签证申请表。
这三个申请表是由原来的非居住签证申请表演变而来，同时又和原来的学生问卷结合在一起。
每种新申请表都增加了2页：
外加信息和相关文件清单。
新申请表中增加一些新的内容：
同居情况、陪读情况、学生申请学校及面试情况、协助学生申请的中介信息等等。
新申请表排版更新颖合理，内容也跟上了社会发展和变化，更加人性化，更加浅显易懂，使用方便。
同时也能让好的中介脱颖而出。
鉴于上述情况，建议准备赴英留学的学生应该注意以下事项：
第一，一定要保管好自己的护照，切不可将自己的护照丢失，更不可使用假护照，否则只有招致被拒签的厄运。
第二，在递交签证申请时，一定要确保本人能够到场。
不可以像过去那样，把签证材料交给中介就出去旅游了。
第三，在填写申请表之前，一定要仔细阅读填表须知，完全读懂以后才可动笔。
最后，如果你能够选择一家优秀的中介协助申请，那将是一个明智的选择。
