1My Hometown of ChaozhouHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm from a small city called Chaozhou in Guangdong Province, China. Today I want to tell you all about my awesome hometown. I really love Chaozhou and I'm so proud to be from there. Let me share with you what makes it such a special place!First, Chaozhou is famous across China for its delicious food. We have so many tasty local dishes that use really fresh ingredients. My favorite is Chaozhou gongbao, which are big meatballs cooked in a yummy sauce with peanuts. I also love our Chaozhou pickles - we pickle all kinds of vegetables like radish, cabbage, carrots and more. The pickles are nice and crunchy with a sour and spicy flavor. Yum! A lot of the Chaozhou restaurants in the city serve amazing seafood too since we're not too far from the ocean. The fresh fish and shrimp are out of this world.Chaozhou's cuisine is just one of the things that makes our local culture really unique. We even have our own dialect ofChinese that is quite different from Cantonese or Mandarin. The Chaozhou dialect has a very distinct singing-like tone that I think sounds awesome. A lot of famous music, opera, and puppet shows come from the Chaozhou cultural traditions too. One of my favorite holidays is the Chaozhou Hungry Ghost Festival every year where we burn paper objects like clothes, cars, and houses as offerings to our ancestors' spirits. It's such a cool tradition full of meaning. As for the city itself, Chaozhou has a really long history going back over 2000 years. There are so many ancient temples, ancestral halls, and heritage sites to explore. I love going to Guangji Bridge which was built during the Song Dynasty like 1000 years ago! It's stunning with its carved stone archways over the river. Chaozhou also has some amazing sculpture and ceramic art with styles you can't find anywhere else. My class went on a field trip to the Chaozhou Ceramic Art Museum and I was in awe of all the beautiful ancient pottery and porcelain pieces.Of course, Chaozhou is also a very modern city in a lot of ways. We have huge shopping malls, parks, sports centers, you name it. Chaozhou is pretty small compared to massive cities like Guangzhou, but we have everything we need. One rea lly coolplace is the Tin Lau Old Street which looks old-fashioned with its traditional shops and buildings, but it's actually a new commercial area. You can find all kinds of snacks, clothes, and souvenirs there. My parents love to take me there just to wander around and soak in the atmosphere.I'm sure a lot of you are wondering about the natural scenery around Chaozhou too. Even though we live in the city, there are some beautiful nature areas nearby that make amazing weekend trip destinations. A couple hours outside Chaozhou is the Xiaquan River, which is often called one of the most scenic rivers in Asia. The water is so blue and clear, and flows through these gorgeous misty mountains and valleys. You can take River Cruises along it which is a super popular activity. There are also tons of waterfalls, hot springs, and hiking trails along the river where you can really appreciate the amazing natural beauty.Closer to the city is Xiachuan Island where you'll find the famous Xiachuan Beach. The beach has really soft white sand and the ocean is the perfect shade of turquoise. I have so many great memories of beach camping, swimming, and hunting for seashells there with my family and friends. Xiachuan Island also has lush tropical forests, mangroves, and is home to some cool wildlife like monkeys, snakes, and rare birds. In the eveningsduring summer, you can see the most breathtaking sunsets over the ocean too. Simply magical! As you can probably tell by now, I absolutely adore my hometown and everything about it - the food, culture, history, modern amenities, and beautiful nature areas surrounding the city. Chaozhou is such a unique and vibrant place that really has everything. It offers the perfect balance of rich traditions dating back thousands of years along with a modern, dynamic lifestyle. I feel so fortunate to have grown up experiencing the best of both worlds right here.I really hope I've inspired some of you to come visit Chaozhou yourselves one day. From tasting our iconic cuisine to attending a cultural festival, exploring heritage sites, or relaxing on a beach, I promise you'll quickly fall in love with my charming little hometown just like I have. Chaozhou will always be number one in my heart no matter where life takes me. I'm a proud Chaozhou kid through and through! Thanks for letting me share a piece of my world with you.篇2My Hometown of ChaozhouHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my amazing hometown of Chaozhou. Chaozhou is a small city in the eastern part of Guangdong Province in southern China. Even though it's not a huge famous place, I think Chaozhou is one of the best cities in the whole world!First of all, Chaozhou has such a long and fascinating history. Our city was first established over 1,700 years ago during the Western Jin Dynasty. Can you imagine how old that is? Chaozhou used to be a really important trading port back in ancient times when the Maritime Silk Road was thriving. Lots of foreign merchants would come to Chaozhou to buy and sell goods like ceramics, tea, and silk. Because of this international influence, Chaozhou developed its own unique culture and traditions that are still celebrated today. For example, the Chaozhou dialect is unlike any other in Guangdong. It has a very distinctive singing-like cadence that makes it sound totally different from Cantonese or Mandarin. My grandparents speak the Chaozhou dialect at home and it's really musical to my ears. There's also amazing Chaozhou cuisine that you can't find anywhere else. My favorite dishes are Chaozhougordorod (meat balls), sampan (glutinous rice dumplings), and Chaozhou fumao tea which has a incredible aroma.Another thing that makes my hometown so special is the old architecture and historic relics everywhere. Whenever I'm walking around the city, I'm surrounded by ancient temples, memorial arches, and old buildings with gorgeous brick carvings and wooden facades. The Guangji Bridge and Kaiyuan Temple are two of Chaozhou's most famous landmarks that were built over 1,000 years ago during the Tang Dynasty! Just imagining how many people have walked across that bridge and prayed at that temple over the centuries gives me chills.Chaozhou is also famous for its talented artisans and craftspeople who have been keeping traditional arts alive for generations. This includes woodcarving, embroidery, dough modeling, and ceramics. My uncle is actually an expert dough modeler and he can sculpt the most intricate scenes and figurines just using colored dough. Once I watched him craft a whole miniature version of the Kaiyuan Temple using nothing but his hands and some dough - it was amazing! There areартцфком shops all around Chaozhou selling these beautiful handicrafts.Even though Chaozhou has such deep roots in history, it's also a very lively and modern city today. Every year there are awesome festivals and events like the Spring Lantern Fair, the Dragon Boat Races, and the Martial Arts Competitions. Watching the giant millennium-old gongsfollow the dragon dance teams through the streets is my favorite part. The city is always decked out in bright red lanterns and banners during the celebrations. And at night, the Guangji Bridge is illuminated in rainbow lights that reflect on the river below - so pretty!Chaozhou people are also known for being warm, outgoing, and hospitable. We love to laugh, sing, and be merry! On holidays the neighborhoods come alive with the sounds of frying food, firecrackers, and kidssingingfolksongs while playing games in the alleyways.Chaozhoureligious mix of Buddhism, Taoism, and folk beliefs like the Tungao Sea God. You'll find temples, shrinesand ancestorworship alters on virtually every street corner. It makes the whole city feel mystical and culturally vibrant.Of course, Chaozhou isn't just about history and traditions. It's also a place of natural beauty with lots of scenic parks, lakes and rivers crisscrossing the urban landscape. The Caixi River flows right through the heart of the old town, and you can stroll along the promenade or rent a little boat to cruise underneaththe picturesque arched bridges. My personal favorite is Xiangzi Lake in the suburbs which has an idyllic oaser of peach orchards, pagodas, and walking trails all around it.So as you can see, my hometown of Chaozhou is an incredible place packed with rich history, unique traditions, delicious cuisine, friendly people, and breathtaking scenery. I feel so lucky and proud to have been born here. One day when I grow up, maybe I'll open up my own little teahouse or artisan shop to share Chaozhou's amazing culture with the world. But for now, I'm just a kid enjoying life in the most special place on Earth!篇3My Hometown of ChaozhouHello everyone! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm going to tell you all about my amazing hometown of Chaozhou. Chaozhou is a small city in the eastern part of Guangdong Province in southern China. Even though it's not a huge metropolis, I think Chaozhou is the best place on Earth and I'm so lucky to have been born and raised here.Chaozhou has such a long and fascinating history dating back over 2,000 years. It used to be called Tong'an Countyduring ancient times. Lots of important historical figures were born here like the philosopher Zhuang Zi who lived during the Warring States Period. The city center has remnants of the old city walls and gates that protected Chaozhou for centuries. I love visiting those spots and imagining what life was like for people living here hundreds of years ago.One of my favorite things about Chaozhou is the unique local culture and traditions. We have our own language called Chaozhou dialect that is quite different from standard Mandarin or Cantonese. At home my parents only speak to me in Chaozhou dialect. The food is also very distinctive - we eat lots of seafood, preserved radishes, and rice noodles. Every year there are lively festivals like the Lantern Festival where we eat tangyuan (sweet rice balls) and the Chaozhou Hungry Ghost Festival to honor our ancestors with operas and offerings.Even though Chaozhou isn't very big, it has some wonderful scenic spots that I enjoy visiting on weekends and holidays. Guangji Bridge is a famous covered bridge with a small river flowing underneath. It's almost 900 years old! You can find little vendors selling tasty local snacks like patonggo (fried dough twists) nearby. I also love Han Ancestral Temple which has intricate wooden carvings and was built to honor the ancestorsof the Han family who ruled Chaozhou long ago. During spring it's my favorite place for flying kites and enjoying the fresh blooming flowers.Chaozhou may seem like a sleepy little town, but we actually have a thriving arts and culture scene. We are renowned across China for our embroidery, wood carving, and ceramics. The Chaozhou ceramic folk kilns have been designated as national intangible cultural heritage. I've tried my hand at pottery making before during a school field trip - it's so much harder than it looks! Chaozhou opera is another beloved artform here. The performers wear elaborate makeup and costumes as they sing stories from classic novels and legends. I always look forward to the annual Chaozhou Opera Festival.Of course, no introduction to Chaozhou would be complete without mentioning our amazing food scene. Chaozhou cuisine is one of the eight great traditions of Chinese cooking. We use a lot of light seasonings like salt, stock, ginger, and scallions to bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients. Some of my personal favorite Chaozhou dishes are oyster omelette, marinated duck, and Buddha Jumps Over the Wall which is a savory stew with many different ingredients like shark fin, abalone, mushrooms, and bamboo pith. My mouth is wateringjust thinking about it! We also have some unique snacks like phoenix-eye balls (fried dough balls with different fillings) and steamed flower buns. Eating is definitely one of my favorite pastimes.Even with all these great attractions, sometimes the best thing about Chaozhou is just the laid-back pace of life here. It's a very livable city that's not too crowded or hectic. I love being able to ride my bike around the winding alleyways and stop to chat with friendly neighbors doing tai chi in the park. The weather is also amazing with long, hot summers and short, mild winters. You can find people outdoors being active year-round.As I mentioned, Chaozhou may not be the biggest or flashiest place, but to me it will always be number one. This is the city where I was born, where my parents and grandparents grew up, where centuries of my ancestors lived full lives. Chaozhou made me who I am today - it shaped my values, my traditions, my language, and my identity. No matter how far I travel, Chaozhou will forever be my roots and my cherished hometown.I hope all of you have a chance to experience the simple joys and rich culture of this amazing place someday.。

There are a lot of plaques[plɑːk匾] and couplets['kʌplɪts对联], such asthe plaques of Kangxi emperor, the poem-engraved[ɪn'grevd] of Qianlong emperor, the handwritings of Fu Yijian, GuoMoruo, Feng Zikai, etc. You can get a great scene on the tower and you can watch the panoramic[,pænə'ræmɪk] view of the city.
There are numerous outstanding people born in Liaocheng, such as Sun Bin, Wu Xun, Zhang Zizhong, JiXianlin, Kong Fansen, etc. Wu Xun lost his father when he was 7 years old. Therefore, he lived for begging and he never learnt in school. He gone out to work and because he was illiterate[ɪ'lɪt(ə)rət], he was always bullied. Therefore, he was determined to build schools for poor children. He saved money by begging in order to build schools. Finally, he succeed and his schools were free for poor students. He dedicated his life to his schools and students.
This is my hometown, a charming andcultured city.。
