本节课是高中英语第一册Welcome Unit的写作部分，这个单元从语法上的句子基本成分分析、五种基本简单句到阅读中文章篇章结构结合叙事顺序，都是初高中过渡衔接的重要部分，这部分的写作也是对上面的巩固和进一步训练。
从内容上来说，提供了某种意义上的模板，让学生知道从哪个角度写，了解相关话题词汇等等，适合刚升入高一学生的训练。
1.语言能力目标
新课标语言能力目标中指出，学生应该学会“理解口头和书面语篇所表达的意义，识别其恰当表意所采用的手段，有效地使用口语和书面语表达意义合进行人际交流”。

（2）培养自尊、自强、自立的良好品格，具备一定的跨文化交际能力。

（1）树立正确的英语学习观，保持对英语的学习兴趣，具有明确的学习目标。
（2）能够多渠道获取英语学习资源，有效规划学习时间和学习任务。
