【写作指导】

一、审题定调

本写作任务要求介绍自己的邻居，属于描述性写作（descriptive writing）。此类作文是以写人为主的记叙文，主要是通过对人物典型事例的叙述来反映人物的思想、性格、品质等特点。

描写外貌、性格等常用现在时态，讲述事例常用过去时态。人称常用第三人称。

二、谋篇布局

本篇习作可分为以下三部分来写：

第一部分：引入话题（介绍人物的基本情况，如年龄、外貌等）。

第二部分：具体介绍（通过叙述典型事例反映人物性格、品质等特点）。

第三部分：总结全文（对所介绍人物进行整体评价）。

A good neighbour

Having a good neighbour is very lucky and I do have one. That is Mr. Yang, about 30 years old, tall and thin.

Mr. Yang is a foreign language teacher in a local school. He is very kind and develops good relationships with everybody. Once my younger brother was ill but my parents were both on business. Mr. Yang got the news and came to help me look after my brother until he was fine. Besides, Mr. Yang often helps me learn English when he is free and with his help, my English has improved greatly.

Mr. Yang is a good neighbour and we all like him.

It’s very luck for me to have a good neighbour. We call him Mr. Yang, who is in his thirties, tall and thin.

Mr. Yang works as a foreign language tea cher in a local school. He’s so

warm-hearted and helpful that he gets along very well with everybody who knows him. Once my younger brother was ill while my parents were both on a business trip. Having heard the news, Mr. Yang offered to help me care for my brother until he recovered. Besides, Mr. Yang often helps me with my English in his spare time. Thanks to his help, I have made great progress.

Mr. Yang’s such a nice neighbour that he has won the respect of all.

My Father

I’m very lucky to have a good father, who is in his late forties, kind and patient.

When I was very young, my father took an interest in what I did and took notice of the things I was good at. He always made an effort to help me develop my abilities, but he never put me down when I didn’t succeed. In addition, he taught me to wo rk hard. Once I took part in a music competition and had to practice playing the piano for weeks. I became upset, but my father stayed with me each evening and helped me a lot.

I’m thankful for his support and I hope he can be proud of me.
