“How many”询问物品数量
课本原句：How many plates?
“How many+名词复数？”用来对物品的数量进行 提问，意为“多少……？”回答时，可以直接说 出数量，也可以用“数字+物品.”这一句型。
如：—How many cats？ —One./One cat.
当询问别人的年龄时，可以使用句型“ How old are you?”,并用“I’m + 数字.”或“I’m + 数 字 + year(s) old.”来回答。
注意：不能随便用“How old are you?”来询问长辈或 女士的年龄。在西方，随便询问女士的年龄是不礼貌的。

新版PEP小学英语三年级上册Unit6 Happy birthdaySection C一．教学内容本课时讲的内容是第六单元Section C的，主要包括review , Let's sing和Story time.二．设计思路首先学生唱歌曲Ten little candles方面复习下26个字母和1到10的数字，利用加法算式练习数字用法，同时告知学生今天是Zoom生日，听遍Story time回答问题，利用role play的方式帮助学生更好的理解这篇课文.三．教学目标1.能借助图片读懦故事时间中的故事2.数字在生活中的应用.四．教学重、难点重点:正确理解句子: There is Zoom! Ihave two gifts.难点:理解单词surprise的意思。
五．教学准备1.图片和单词卡片2.录音机，配套微带, Lion, Elephant, Horse和Zoom的头饰六．教学过程1.热身、复习(warm-up/ Revision)通过介绍这节课的游戏规则，分为三组ABC,表现好的走一步，走到顶端可以获得一个蛋糕。
开始用日常用语和学生进行打招呼热身，接着利用歌曲Ten little candles 复习1到10的数字。
a、Review把之前学的字母和这单元学的字母从A到Z放在一起，让学生在复习的同时达到巩固的程度,同时利用分组Pk复习了1-10的数字,调动学生的积极性，利用加分奖励机制。
b、教师板书几组算式题，比比，看看谁算得快。
One+one= one+two= five+two= four+two=(设计意图:让学生学会运用数字进行计算，并书写英文数字。
)2.导入、呈现(presentation)教学Story time首先听一遍录音，让学生大致感知这篇Story time 的内容，其次再听一遍学生复述，培养学生语音语调，然后教师提出两个问题，How old is Zoom 和Who celebrate for his birthday 让学生自己读两分钟回答问题培养学生的阅读思考能力。
