I have twelve healthy little pigs." She asked the rabbit, "How many babies do you have?"The rabbit felt embarrassed. She only had seven. Then she pointed at the sheep and said, "She only has three!" Everyone laughed.A snake passed by and said, "Snakes are truly the greatest. I have fifty!""So what?" said a new voice. Everyone turned around and saw a lioness. The snake lifted up her head and looked at the lioness."Why do you speak? I have fifty babies. You only have one. That's nothing." The other animals said that the snake was right. The lioness laughed. "I only have one, but it is a lion. Only alion can be the king of the forest."The other animals could think of nothing to say. They had many babies, but none of them would ever be as strong as a lion. "One valuable thing," said the lioness, "is worth more than a hundred mon ones."关于英语故事的小学生演讲稿篇2What a wonderful fruit the banana is, popular all over the world. Its three colors tell you how ripe it is. Green means go, as in go find another banana. Yellow means eat me. Brown means eat me but don’t bother chewing before you swallow. The only thing that would make a banana more user-friendly is if you could eat the peel. Plus, a banana is neat to eat. When you bite into it, you don’t have to worry about juice squirting all over yourself and your dinner neighbors . And it’s a silent food—you can chew it all you like without driving your neighbors crazy with crunching sounds . Finally, it’s easy to cut—you don’t need a steak knife. You can slice it with a fork or a spoon, if you like. You’re never too young or too old to eat bananas. Babies ea t mashed bananas before their teeth grow in. Great-great-grandparents eat mashed bananas after their teeth fall out.The banana is versatile. You can fry it, bake it, mash it, or eatit raw. You can slice it and put it on your breakfast cereal. At lunchtime you can snack on a raw banana, or make a peanut butter and banana sandwich, or eat a bag of dried bananas. You can add a banana to your ice cream for dessert and call it a banana split. You can order a healthful banana smoothie at your local smoothie store. On weekends you can order a banana daiquiri at your local bar or restaurant. Here in the US, we get most of our bananas from Ecuador and Costa Rica, although the fruit reportedly originated in Asia. Bananas give us lots of potassium and vitamins A and C, and hardly any sodium. The price of bananas hasn’t changed much over recent years—they’re still about 65 cents a pound, despite rising gas and labor prices. If that’s too expensive, you can still get three pounds for a buck at many dollar stores.关于英语故事的小学生演讲稿篇3Bobby is my dog. I love him. He can roll on the floor. He can play balls with me. He can look after my house when I am out. Bobby is very clever. But sometimes he isn’t.One day Bobby runs away. He is out for three days. After he es back, I tie him to a tree and give him some food. Bobby begins to eat. But then he stops. He sees a fox. The fox is looking at hisfood. Bobby barks and barks. He wants to catch the fox. But he can’t. The fox runs round the tree. Bobby runs after the f ox. So the rope goes ground the tree. Of course Bobby can’t run. The doc can eat the food. Quickly she eats up the food and runs away. 关于英语故事的小学生演讲稿篇4A minute does farm work, a minute harvestA minute does farm work, a minute harvest! 小学生英语演讲比赛稿篇一Once upon a time there were a fisherman and his wife who lived together in a filthy shack near the sea. Every day the fisherman went out fishing, and he fished, and he fished. Once he was sitting there fishing and looking into the clear water, and he sat, and he sat. Then his hook went to the bottom, deep down, and when he pulled it out, he had caught a large flounder. Then the flounder said to him, "Listen, fisherman, I beg you to let me live. I am not an ordinary flounder, but an enchanted prince. How will it help you to kill me? I would not taste good to you. Put me back into the water, and let me swim.""Well," said the man, "there's no need to say more. I can certainly let a fish swim away who knows how to talk."With that he put it back into the clear water, and the flounder disappeared to the bottom, leaving a long trail of blood behind him. Then the fisherman got up and went home to his wife in the filthy shack."Husband," said the woman, "didn't you catch anything today?" "No," said the man. "I caught a flounder, but he told me that he was an enchanted prince, so I let him swi m away.”"Didn't you ask for anything first?" said the woman. "No," said the man. "What should I have asked for?""Oh," said the woman. "It is terrible living in this shack. It stinks and is filthy. You should have asked for a little cottage for us. Go back and call him. Tell him that we want to have a littlecottage. He will surely give it to us.""Oh," said the man. "Why should I go back there?" "Look," said the woman, "you did catch him, and then you let him swim away. He will surely do this for us. Go right now."The man did not want to go, but neither did he want to oppose his wife, so he went back to the sea. When he arrived there it was no longer clear, but yellow and green. He stood there and said: “Mandje! Mandje! Timpe Te! Flounder, flounder, in the sea! My wife, my wife Ilsebill, Wants not, wants not, what I will?”The flounder swam up and said, "What does she want then?""Oh," said the man, "I did catch you, and now my wife says that I really should have asked for something. She doesn't want to live in a filthy shack any longer. She would like to have a cottage.""Go home," said the flounder. "She already has it."The man went home, and his wife was standing in the door of a cottage, and she said to him, "Come in. See, now isn't this much better?”There was a little front yard, and a beautiful little parlor, and a bedroom where their bed was standing, and a kitchen, and a dining room. Everything was beautifully furnished and supplied with tin and brautensils, just as it should be. And outside there was a little yard with chickens and ducks and a garden with vegetables and fruit."Look," said the woman. "Isn't this nice?""Yes," said the man. "This is quite enough. We can live here very well.""We will think about that," said the woman. Then they ate something and went to bed.Everything went well for a week or two, and then the woman said, "Listen, husband. This cottage is too small. The yard and the garden are too little. The flounder could have given us a largerhouse. I would like to live in a large stone palace. Go back to the flounder and tell him to give us a palace.""Oh, wife," said the man, "the cottage is good enough. Why would we want to live in a palace?""I know why," said the woman. "Now you just go. The flounder can do that.""Now, wife, the flounder has just given us the cottage. I don't want to go back so soon. It may make the flounder angry.""Just go," said the woman. "He can do it, and he won't mind doing it. Just go."The man's heart was heavy, and he did not want to go. He said to himself, "This is not right," but he went anyway. When he arrived at the sea the water was purple and dark blue and gray and dense, and no longer green and yellow. He stood there and said:“Mandje! Mandje! Timpe Te! Flounder, flounder, in the sea! My wife, my wife Ilse bill, Wants not, wants not, what I will?”"What does she want then?" said the flounder. "Oh," said the man sadly, "my wife wants to live in a stone palace.""Go home. She's already standing before the door," said the flounder. Then the man went his way, thinking he was going home, but when he arrived, standing there was a large stone palace. His wife was standing on the stairway, about to enter. Taking him by the hand, she said, "Come inside."He went inside with her. Inside the palace there was a large front hallway with a marble floor. Numerous servants opened up the large doors for them. The walls were all white and covered with beautiful tapestry. In the rooms there were chairs and tables of pure gold. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceilings. The rooms and chambers all had carpets. Food and the very best wine overloaded the tables until they almost collapsed. Outside the house there was a large courtyard with the very best carriagesand stalls for horses and cows. Furthermore there was a magnificent garden with the most beautiful flowers and fine fruit trees and a pleasure forest a good half mile long, with elk and deer and hares and everything that anyone could possibly want. 小学生英语演讲比赛稿篇二Good morning, my dear teachers and friends! 少儿英语演讲稿1During the Southern and Northern Dynasties (420-589), there lived a beautiful, intelligent princess name Lechang in the State Chen. She and her husband Xu Deyan loved each other dearly. But before long their country was in danger of being invaded by the troops of the Sui Dynasty. Princess Lechang and Xu Deyan had a premonition that their county would be occupied by the invaders and they would have to leave the palace and go into exile. During the chaos they might lose touch with each other. They broke a bronze mirror, a symbol of the unity of husband and wife into two parts and each of them kept a half. They aGREed that each would take their half of the mirror to the fair during the Lantern Festival, which is on the 15th day of the first Lunar month, in the hope that would meet again. When they were united the two halves would join together. Soon their premonition came true. During the chaos of war, the princess lost touch with her husband was taken to a powerful minister Yang Su's house and was made his mistress. At the Lantern Festival the next year, Xu Deyan took his half of the mirror to the fair. He hoped that he could meet his wife. It so happened that a servant was selling the other half of the bronze mirror. Xu Deyan recognized it immediately. He asked the servant about his wife. As he heard about her bitter experience, tears rolled down his cheeks. Xu Deyan wrote a poem on the half of the mirror kept by his wife: "You left me with your brokenmirror Now the mirror is back but not you I can no longer see your reflection in the mirror Only the bright moon but not you" .the servant brought back the inscribed half of the mirror to princess Lechang. For days, she could not help sobbing because she knew her husband was still alive and that he missed her but they could not meet forever.the minister, Yang Su, found this out. He was also moved by their true love and realized it was impossible to get Lechang's love. So he sent for Xu Deyan and allowed the husband and wife to reunite. From that story comes the idiom "A broken mirror joined together".It is used to suggest the happy reunion of a separated couple.少儿英语演讲稿2Richard Wagner was an undersized little man, with a head too big for his body -- a sickly little man. His nerves were bad. And he had delusions of grandeur. He was a monster of conceit. Never for one minute did helook at the world or at people, except in relation to himself. He was not only the most important person in the world, to himself; in his own eyes he was the only person who existed. He believed himself to be one of the greatest dramatists in the world, one of the greatest thinkers, and one of the greatest composers. T o hearhim talk, he was Shakespeare, and Beethoven, and Plato , rolledinto one. And you would have had no difficulty in hearing himtalk. He was one of the most exhausting conversationalists thatever lived. An evening with him was an evening spent in listeningto amonologue. Sometimes he was brilliant; sometimes he wasmaddeningly tiresome. But whether he was being brilliant ordull, he had one sole topic of conversation:himself. Whathethought and what he did.He had a mania for being in the right. The slightest hint of disagreement, from anyone, on the most trivial point, was enough to set him off on a harangue that might last for hours, inwhich he proved himself right in so many ways, and with suchexhausting volubility, that in the end his hearer, stunned anddeafened, would agree with him, for the sake of peace.少儿英语演讲稿3There was a big river. In the big river there was a big fish. The big fish was very bad.It wanted to eat a boy or a girl every year. So the people there had to send a boy or a girl to the big fish every year. If not, the big fish would drown them, the people couldn't do anything about it.The time came to send Shally to the big fish. Little Shally sat in a small boat in the middle of the river. She didn't want to die, and she was sobbing. The little fish saw Shally, they were very sorry for the little girl and they wanted to do something to help her, "Don't sob, Shally, let's think of an idea." The little fish found a knife and gave it to Shally, then, the big fish came to eat Shally. All the little fish nibbled(轻咬,啃) the big fish, and the big fish was hurt. Shally took out the knife and killed it.The big fish died, Shally and the other girls and boys there were all saved.少儿英语演讲稿4A big snake passed by under a spider wet. And it wanted to eat the spider in the web. But because it was not high enough to reach the web, it had to give up.When the spider saw the snake leaving, it came down from the web hanging with a thread. The snake thought this was anopportunity, and then waited with its head high in the car. Seeing that the snake came back, the spider came back to the web. After doing this for several times, the snake got very weary and lowered its head. The spider suddenly came at the snake when it was not prepared and bit its head firmly. The wounded snake jumped wildly and fell on the grounds repeatedly, failing to kill the spider on its head. After the spider bit the snake dead, it begun to eat the snake's brains, and didn't leave until it was full.少儿英语演讲稿5The centipede waits by the hole of the earthworm, wants to eat it when thee is an opportunity. But the earthworm hiding in the hole suddenly sticks out its head and breaks one of the centipede's legs when the centipede is not alert. Angered by this, the centipede begins to drill itself into the hole. Because the hole is too small, it cannot get in, and the earthworm breaks another leg. There is nothing the centipede can do about it, but it doesn't want to leave. So the centipede has but to wait outside the hole. The earthworm does the same thing, and breaks the centipede's legs one by one. Before long, the one-hundred-leg centipede has no legs any more. Although the centipede is not dead without legs. But it cannot move anymore, and can do nothing but watch the earthworm eat its body.。

篇一:The Ugly Duckling(丑小鸭)Good morning, everyone. Today I’d like to tell you a story about a duckling that faced lots of difficulties before becoming a beautiful swan. It’s called “The Ugly Duckling”.Once upon a time, in a farm, a duck sat on her eggs and waited for them to hatch. When one egg didn’t hatch with the others, theduckling inside had to kick harder and harder until it finally broke its shell. But when it tried to follow the other ducklings to swim, they laughed and called it an ugly duckling b ecause it didn’t looklike them. It was really sad, and so it ran away.On its journey to find someone like it, the duckling met lots of creatures, including a chicken, a cat, a fox, and more. But none of them wanted to be friends with it because of the way it looked. The ugly duckling was more and more depressed, and it wanted to give up. Until one day, it saw a group of beautiful swans swimming gracefully in the pond. The duckling was so amazed by their beauty that it decided to take a closer look. But when it got there, the swansdidn’t shoo it away; instead, they welcomed it with open wings. Atthe same time, the ugly duckling looked into the pond, and in the reflection, it saw that it had transformed into a beautiful swan too, just like its friends. So, kids, this story teaches us to never judge a book by its cover. We should not judge anybody based on their appearance or where they come from, for we are all unique and special in our own way.Thank you for listening! The Ant and the Grasshopper(蚂蚁与蚱蜢)Hello, everyone. Today I’m going to tell you a story about the importance of hard work and preparation. It’s called “The Ant andthe Grasshopper”.One beautiful summer day, a grasshopper hopped and sang while an ant tirelessly went back and forth, gathering food for the winter. The grasshopper laughed at the ant and said, “Why do you work so hard when you can play and enjoy the sun like me?”The ant replied, “I’m getting ready for winter when the weather will be cold and food will be scarce. I can’t relax just yet.”But the grasshopper continued to play and sing, confident that hehad plenty of time. He even mocked the ant as “a silly labourer”.So the season changed, and winter came. The grasshopper was hungry, cold, and without food. He remembered the ant and went to its home, hoping for some of the food that the ant had stored. The ant, though angry, decided to share its food with the grasshopper. However, he warned, “This is the last time I’ll help you. Learn from the lesson and prepare for next year in advance.”Kids, this story teaches us that being prepared and working hardwill help us enjoy success in the future. We should not neglect responsibilities, but rather be disciplined and work hard atachieving our goals.Thank you for listening!篇三:The Three Little Pigs(三只小猪)Good morning, kids. Today I’m going to tell you a story about how careful planning, hard work, and persistence lead to success. It’s called “The Three Little Pigs”.Once upon a time, there were three little pigs, each with their own houses – straw, wood, and brick. A hungry wolf saw them and tried to blow the straw house down, but the pigs managed to escape to the wood house. The wolf tried again, but this time the wood house was also not strong enough. So the pigs ran to the brick house. The wolf tried repeatedly to blow the brick house down also, but failed. Frustrated, he decided to sneak down the chimney. However, the clever pigs had a pot of boiling water ready for him, falling right on top of him when he came in. The wolf then fled, never to return again.Kids, this story teaches us that careful planning, hard work, and persistence will lead us to success. It also teaches us that we must not judge someone or something by how it appears on the outside or how it looks like, but judge it by its intrinsic value.Thank you for listening! The Lion and the Mouse(狮子与老鼠)Hello, everyone. Today’s story is about how a small act of kindness can lead to a big reward. It is called “The Lion and the Mouse”.One day, a mighty lion caught a tiny mouse and decided to let it go, even though he could have eaten it. Sometime later, the lion fell into a trap set by some hunters, and no matter how hard he tried, he could not free himself. The mouse saw the lion’s predicament and decided to help. And so the small mouse began to nibble away at the ropes that held the lion, eventually setting him free. The lion roared with joy and thanked the mouse. From that day on,the lion and the mouse became friends, and the lion vowed to repay the mouse someday. So, kids, this story teaches us a very important lesson. You must never underestimate the power of your small actions. Even thetiniest thing can sometimes have a huge impact on someone’s life, and it might even come back to reward you someday. The mostimportant quality that we should develop today has to be kindness and compassion towards all living beings.Thank you for listening!。

A friend of mine named Paul received an automobile from his brother as a Christmas present. On Christmas Eve when Paul came out of his office, a street urchin was walking around the shiny new car, admiring it. "Is this your car, Mister?" he said.

Paul nodded. "My brother gave it to me for Christmas." The boy was astounded. "You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn’t cost you nothing? Boy, I wish . . ." He hesitated.

Of course Paul knew what he was going to wish for. He was going to wish he had a brother like that. But what the lad said jarred Paul all the way down to his heels.

"I wish," the boy went on, "That I could be a brother like that."
"我希望自己能成为送车给弟弟的哥哥。

"男孩继续说。

Paul looked at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added, "Would you like to take a ride in my car?"
"Oh yes, Id love that."
"哦,当然好了,我太想坐了!"
After a short ride, the boy turned with his eyes aglow, said, "Mister, would you mind driving in front of my house?"
Paul smiled a little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his neighbors that he could ride home in a big automobile. But Paul was wrong again. "Will you stop where those two steps are?" the boy asked.

He ran up the steps. Then in a little while Paul heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother. He sat him down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car.

"There she is, Buddy, just like I told you upstairs. His brother gave it to him for Christmas and it didn’t cost him a cent. And some day Im gonna give you one just like it . . . then you can see for yourself all the pretty things in the Christmas windows that Ive been trying to tell you about."

"
Paul got out and lifted the lad to the front seat of his car. The shining-eyed older brother climbed in beside him and the three of them began a memorable holiday ride. That Christmas Eve, Paul learned
