教学目标：
语言技能目标：能够听懂会说本模块本单元句型，能运用所学语言正确表达如何询问原因及做出合理的回答。
通过游戏和各种学习活动的开展，培养学生的合作能力、竞争意识和综合运用语言知识的能力。
情感态度目标：通过本单元的学习，使学生了解到学习语言的乐趣，体会到学习有可能遇到的困难，要有良好的学习习惯与乐观的学习志趣，逐步培养学生主动解决问题的精神并学会关心他人。
教学重、难点：
重点：1.能够听、读、写以下单词：planned, cup, baseball , more , smile , mistake, with said。
2、能听懂主题句 Why do you have cups on your heads? Why are
you laughing?等，学会正确地表达如何询问原因并做出合理的回答。
难点：1、结合cup与cap，注意在英语中发音相近单词的读音。
2、学生能够流利地使用所学各种时态来表达如何询问原因及做出合理的回答。
三、学情分析
本班学生经过前几年的学习积累，已经对英语具有稳定的学习兴趣，大部分学生对英语的学习积极性较高，基础知识扎实，学习方法得当，形成了一定的综合运用英语语言的能力。
但依然有个别学生没有形成良好的学习习惯，没有找到行之有效的学习方法，因而在学习过程中信心不足，参与到语言活动过程的积极性不高。
特别是两种版本的交替使用，新旧知识的衔接、脱漏知识的补给、教学时间的短缺等为教师的教和学生的学增添了相当大的难度。
这就要求我们做老师的要在课堂上既要尽可能多地运用我们以前学习过的语言知识，坚持听说读写的训练，同时还得考虑学生英语学习实际状况以及他们的情感需要。
四、教具：茶杯、帽子、单词卡片、小信封等。
五、教学过程
（一）、Warm- up.
1. Greeting
T: Hello, everybody! Welcome to our English class .
2. Free talk
T：Boys and girls,are you happy now? I’m so happy to see you are all very happy every day.
S1:Mr Li,look ,S2 is crying .
T: Why are you crying? Would you like to tell me why you are so sad?

T: Did you remember our old friends, Lingling, Amy, Sam? Look! They are laughing. Would you like to know why they are so happy ? OK! This class, we’ll learn Module 8 Unit 1 Why do you have cups on your heads?
（三）、New materials teaching.
Step 1 Look,listen and say.
S1: Where’s my bag? S2:I put it your under your desk.
S1: Why can’t I see it? Oh, it’s behind my chair.
Ss read Part 1 and practise it.
Step 2. Listen and read.
Ss look at the pictures in the book on pages 44 and 45 and begin the new lesson.
T: Why are Lingling, Daming and Amy laughing? Do you know? Learn these new words and expressions. planned,
cup,baseball , more , smile , mistake, with, said;
plan to play a baseball game,put the cups on their heads, make lots of mistakes with Chinese words。
Pay more attentions to these sounds: planned , mistake, said.
Ss read the text by themselves and try to answer these questions:
(1)What are they wearing on their heads?
(2)What are they doing?
(3)What did they plan to do? or what are they going to do?
(4)Why are they laughing ?

2. The teacher explain the text.Then Ss read the text in silence .
3. Discuss the questions about the text in groups.
Step 3 Learn and say.

大明告诉他事情的经过：他们计划打一场棒球赛，Amy让玲玲为比赛带来帽子，但是玲玲带来了杯子。
Sam说道在英语单词方面很容易犯错误，而且他为大家带来了棒球帽。
最终大家戴上帽子去打棒球了。
本单元的目标语言是Why do you have cups on your heads? Why are you laughing?第二单元的课文是四组人物对话，为什么某人正穿着雨衣、戴着帽子、穿着T恤或连衣裙？并用because回答了原因。
