I see the bread-winner still working hard under the fervent sun, soaking with sweat. I see mothers and wives devoting themselves fully on the domestic chores, waiting her husbandand child back home. I see the children playing on the school ground, enjoying themselves totally in the care-free world with naive smile on their face. But I also see the concrete gigantic buildings collapsing in the twinkle of eyes, only hearing theslam bang and seeing the floating ashes on the sky. I see the mencrying for their wives and children desperately towards the ruins. I also see a large crowds lying on the ground, whichis floating with flood. The above are the images I can imagine before and after earthquake about Wenchuangearthquake in xx.Actually, our takes place more and more theChinanatural disasters in recent years, earthquake, floods and so on, through such as mudslide, which many peopledrought, suffera lot, both in material and in spirit aspects. So we should think the urgent problem: why our China suffers more and more natural disasters in recent years? Excessive deforestation, grazing and exploiting resources inordinatelymay be the reasons, for many of us hold the conception that the natural resources is endless and human beings control thenature. And the facts evidence that they are woefully mistaken, for nature begins revenging on the enemies-our humanbeings through his own ways. Therefore, we should seat down and think patiently and calmlyhow to deal with this urgent situation, otherwise, we would be responsible for the consequences one day for what we havedone to the nature.(By Chen Huanya)Protecting Nature(保护自然)China has a very long and brilliant history, whose people areso friendly and hospitable. But I am wondering why somepeople pay such little attention to the environment and nature. In many places of the countryside, rivers have bee stinkingsewers and brooks have disappeared. Heaps of garbage obstructs the scarce flow of dirty water. The grounds are littered withplastic bottles and bags. People are cutting down trees even though it is illegal. In some towns, rubbish is hidden behind walls. Garbage cans are often of little use, making cleanersmust rush all day long and also by night to clean the rubbish. To make things worse, as a result of modernization, pollutionis a serious problem. Nowadays we often breathe the dusty airand drink the dirty water. What's more, we alwayssuffer from the noise and the heavy light pollution. I'm really tired of this life. I want to change it. If I have a chance,I will get up early to see the suise, in order to embraceour nature. As far as I'm concerned, our nature is our mother. She offersus everything we want or need. If our nature disappears,human-beings will be in great danger. Therefore, we must loveour nature unconditionally.Don't always ask too much from her but return her nothing. Moreover, as her sons and daughters,we should always appreciate for her bounty. (By Yin Kemin)An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or temblor)is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crustthat creates seismic waves. The seismicity, seismism or seismic activity of an area refers to the frequency, type and sizeof earthquakes experienced over a period of time.At the Earth's surface, earthquakes manifest themselves by shaking and sometimes displacement of the ground. When the epicenter of a large earthquake is located offshore, the seabed may be displaced sufficiently to cause a tsunami. Earthquakescan also trigger landslides, and oasionally volcanic activity. In its most general sense, the word earthquake is used to describe any seismic event—whether natural or caused by humans — that generates seismic waves.Earthquakes are caused mostly by rupture of geological faults, but also by other events such as volcanic activity, landslides, mine blasts, and nuclear tests. "Nature" refers to the phenomena of thephysical world, and also to life in general. It ranges in scale from the subatomic to the cosmic.Nature may refer to the general realm of various types ofliving plants and animals, and in some cases to the processes associated with inanimate objects –the way that particulartypes of things exist and change of their own aord, such as the weather and geology of the Earth, and the matter and energy of which all these things are posed. It is often taken to meanthe "natural environment" or wilderness –wild animals, rocks, forest, beaches, and in general those things that have not been substantially altered by human intervention, or which persist despite human intervention.Previously,I lived in the countryside where the sun always rose. Every morning, I got up early to see the suise. As thesun came out, trees, flowers, birds and other animals woke upfrom their long sleep and smiled gently towards the sun. “What a glorious view! ” I whispered. But as I moved to the city, Icould hardly see such a glorious view now. Nowadays, to makethings worse, as a result of modernization, pollution is aserious problem. Nowadays we often breathe the dusty air anddrink the dirty water. People quite a lot of harm to the nature in order to gain their own profit. As a result, we are gradually receiving the earth ’s punishment. Nowwe are lacking of energy and facing environment problem. If I have a chance, I will get up early to see the suise, in order to embrace our nature. Ieagerly want to return to our nature.us every The nature, serves as the samerole as water, givingindispensable thing that we need. Things like the beautifulsunshine, fresh air, and other abundant resources. We’re unable to survive without these. And there’s no need to be reminded that we must learn to live with the nature peacefully and harmoniously. The fact, however, usually turns out to be exact the opposite side. As we can see with our naked eyes, the air,the earth and the water have all been polluted because of therapid but irregular development of industries. So here es thequestion: are we still going to live in a world like this? Ofcourse not. Nature is something irreversible, which deservesour every effort to make friends with. Therefore, we protectit while we use it, or on the dark side, w e lose it.(By Liu Yan)Rainbow彩虹A rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon thatin is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing inthe sky. It takes the form of a multicolored arc. Rainbowscaused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.In a "primary rainbow",the arc shows red on the outer part and violet on the inner side. This rainbow is caused by lightbeing refracted (bent) when entering a droplet of water, thenreflected inside on the back of the droplet and refracted again when leaving it.In a double rainbow, a second arc is seen outside the primary arc, and has the order of its colors reversed, red facing towardthe other one in both rainbows. This second rainbow iscaused by light reflecting twice inside water droplets.ThunderThunder is the sound caused by lightning. Depending on the distance and nature of the lightning, thunder can range froma sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble (brontide). The sudden increase in pressure and temperature from lightning producesrapid expansion of the air surrounding and within a bolt oflightning. In turn, this expansion of air creates a sonic shock wave, similar to a sonic boom, which produces the sound ofthunder, often referred to as a clap, crack, or peal of thunder. The distance of the lightning can be calculated by the listener based on the time interval from when the lightning is seen towhen the sound is heard. The cause of thunder has been thesubject of centuries of speculation and scientific inquiry. The first recorded theory is attributed to the Greek philosopherAristotle in the thirdcentury BC, and an early speculation was that it was caused by the collision of clouds. Subsequently, numerous other theories were proposed. By the mid-19th century, the aeptedtheory was that lightning produced a vacuum.

My name is Emily and I'm a 5th grader. I'm so excited to share my English handwritten report on Unit 1 with you all. This unit was all about greeting new friends and introducing ourselves. It was a lot of fun to learn!Greetings (questioned Words)One of the first things we learned were different greetings and the appropriate times to use them. We practiced saying "Good morning" when we arrive at school in the morning. If it's later in the day, we say "Good afternoon." And at night we can say "Good evening." Isn't it cool how many ways there are to say hello in English? We also learned some questioned words to ask about names. If I want to know someone's name, I can say "What's your name?" Or I can ask "What is your name?" To respond, I just say "My name is Emily." So simple!Introducing OurselvesAfter greetings, we moved on to introducing ourselves. There are a few different ways we can do this in English:"Hi, I'm Emily.""Hello, my name is Emily.""Nice to meet you. I'm Emily."We had fun practicing introducing ourselves to partners. My best friend Sarah and I would pretend to meet each other and go through all the greetings and introductions. It was silly but helped us remember!Asking About Age/HomeAlong with names, another common question when meeting someone new is "How old are you?" If someone asks me this, I respond with "I'm 10 years old." We can also ask "Where are you from?" and answer like "I'm from Seattle" to share where we're from.Numbers 1-20To ask about and share ages, we need to know our numbers! This unit had us practice counting from 1 to 20. We sang songs and did chants to memorize them. My favorite was the classic counting song - "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten...nineteen, twenty!" Repeating them over and over really helped cement the numbers in my brain.Classroom LanguageIn addition to greetings and introductions, we also covered some basic classroom instructions. Our teacher would say things like:"Listen and repeat.""Open your books.""Work in pairs.""Line up."Understanding these simple commands in English is super important for following along in class. I'm glad we took the time to learn phrases the teacher will likely use a lot.Activity FavoritesMy favorite activity from this unit was definitely the Greating Game. We stood in a circle, and the teacher would call out a greeting like "Good morning!" Then we'd all greet the person beside us with that phrase. It got pretty giggly towards the end when we were all dancing around saying "Good night! Good morning! Good afternoon!"I also enjoyed the Name Chain activity. One person started by saying their name. The next person repeated that name and added their own. It went all around the circle until the final person had to recall everyone's name in the reverse order. It was tricky but helped me learn my classmates' names for sure!Overall, this first unit was so much fun. I feel much more confident greeting new people and introducing myself now. Developing these basic conversation skills in English is really important as I continue learning the language.Who knows, maybe I'll make an English-speaking pen pal that I can practice all my new phrases with! But for now, I'm just enjoying reviewing everything I learned with activities like this handwritten report. Here's to making more new friends and having more English adventures ahead!。

I am not sure because I am still pulling evidence.

Mary is going out with Craig."
Let's go for a moonlight walk!"
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread"(你应当通过自己的劳动换得你的食物)。这里的in the sweat of thy face跟我们所说的by the sweat of one’s brow是一个意思,都是指“通过自己的辛勤劳动”。
