An old lady is a bit hard of hearing. She thinks everything is too dear in the shop. One day, she wants to buy a hat. She goes into a shop and points to a hat and asks, “How much is it?”
“Seven dollars, Madam,”the salesgirl answers, “It is very cheap.”
The old lady says, “Seventeen doll a rs? It is too much. If it is fourteen dollars, I will buy it.”
“Not seventeen dollars, Madam,” the girl says, “but seven.” “It is still too much.” replies the ol d lady, “If it is five dollars, I will buy it.”
