当前我国的智库建设与国际一流智库相比还存在六方面的问题:缺少相对的独立性;经费支持渠道单一;缺少国际影响力;缺乏公信力;高校智库发展不平衡;智库数量和研究成果质量不匹配。
以EAI 为例,介绍了新加坡智库具有的诸多特色,即:有一流学者领衔的学术团队;有国际学术交流和研究的浓厚氛围;有灵活的智库管理制度;有丰富的图书资料;有广泛的社会影响力。
新加坡智库的成功经验对中国智库建设的主要启示有:我们必须更新观念,树立"全、特、专、协"的智库发展理念;中国智库需要走出去,发出自己的声音;必须加强智库的管理制度创新;必须加强高校智库建设,推进协同创新;必须大力发展民间智库。
建设一流智库是为中国特色社会主义事业提供智力保障的需要,它是一个长期的建设过程。

What is special about NUS and makes us stand out?Let me highlight just three areas.First, NUS is a global University.Our students and faculty come from more than 100 countries and you will find a higher level ofdiversity here than in most other campuses around theworld.NUS also offers a myriad of distinctive global education programmes.Rather than list them here, I thought it would be easier if I illustrate with an example.Sharifah Hanan Alsagoff joined NUS as an Architecture student in 2003.She was also part of our University Scholars Programme which provided her with a broad-based, small group learning experience.Despite the demanding and challenging curriculum, she participated in numerous USP global activities, which took her to exotic places such as Yemen, India, South Africa and the United States.She then spent a semester abroad at the Ecole Speciale d’Architecture in Paris.This wide-ranging global experience has served Hanan well.She has geared her architectural projects to focus on what she had learnt from the diverse contexts and traditions to which she had been exposed – such as incorporating influences from Emirati Palaces, as well as innovative ideas from sustainable housing in South Africa.Today, she designs projects for high profile clients in Abu Dhabi, and freelances for architectural magazines.Of course, not all students in NUS would follow in the same path as Hanan.However, her story illustrates some of the many opportunities which you could pursue at NUS.Our University offers many possible academic pathways – I encourage you to look at the different options and to see what excites you most, and what relates best to your interests, drive and capacity.Our many unique global programmes, in particular, will enable you to study under top Professors in some of the best universities overseas.They will also help you to be effective in different cross-cultural settings.This is critical for success in a globalised world.Some years ago, when Pepsi was marketing its product in China, it had a very nice tagline, which read “Come alive, You're in the Pepsi Generation”.When the tagline wastranslated into Chinese, however, it picked up some unintended cultural nuances.The translation read is “百事使你的祖宗重新活了过来”.So those of you who don't understand Chinese as well, your colleagues are laughing because the translation in English back reads “Pepsi will bring your ancestors back from the dead.” So remember, being effective in diverse cultural settings is a very useful quality you have, and may even save you from losing your job.Second, NUS is a leading Research University.You may not regard this to be relevant to you as undergraduates.But consider this.Learning with Professors who are carrying out cutting-edge research, will help you appreciate how to ask the right questions, and how to formulate strategies to tackle them.It will also give you a sense of the thrill of discovery, and the excitement of applying fundamental knowledge to address real world problems.All these are key elements of critical thinking which is possibly the most important quality you should try to develop while in University.Third, NUS offers a truly multidimensional learning experience.You will find the widest possible array of cultural and artistic activities, sports, social and community-based programmes in Singapore and beyond.When I was at your age, in medical school, my single greatest fear was of becoming a mono-dimensional person.I spent my University days, and most of my life, trying to make sure that this did not happen, and I am very happy for it.Like me, I think you will find that beyond academic grades, when you graduate, what will be of real value to you will be the leadership qualities, the teamwork and interpersonal skills, the emotional resilience and the ability to communicate, which you developed while in University.These cannot be gained by taking courses – they can only be nurtured outside the classroom, particularly when you challenge yourselfby moving outside your comfort zone.I therefore urge you not to neglect the experiential learning aspects of University life – it will not only be of great use to you later, but will also make your experience here richer, more memorable and enduring.Dear Freshmen, in today’s competi tive and fast-paced global environment, hard work is important but it may not be enough.You need to stand out from the crowd.NUS offers you more than a rigorous education and a degree-it also offers many opportunities for global immersion and for you to 2019中国会议十大新闻
5月13日，国际大会与会议协会（ICCA）最新发布了2018年度国际协会会议排名。
据ICCA 统计，2018年全球国际协会会议数量持续增长。
周期召开、轮流举办的国际会议达到12,937个，较2017年增加了379个，增幅3.01%。
在全球十大国家排名中，美国、德国、中国的排名均与2017年保持一致，稳占榜中的第一、第二和第八位，而西班牙、法国、荷兰的排名均比2017年有所上升。
在亚太区国家排名中，日本位列第一，举办的国际会议数量达到492个；中国排名第二，会议数量为449个。
在全球城市排名中，北京、上海、杭州、西安进入前100名。
北京从2017年的25名上升到22名；上海从39名上升到28名；杭州发展最为快速，从148名上升到97名；西安也从119名上升到100名。
从会议数量上来看，北京、上海、杭州、西安举办的国际会议数量分别为93个、82个、28个、27个。
由此可见，杭州和西安发展潜力巨大。
此外，中国多数城市2018年举办的国际协会会议取得了明显增长。
2018-2019年间，中国有20家单位加入ICCA，成为其会员。
2019年4月25日至27日，第二届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛在北京举行。
作为今年中国最重要的主场外交活动，本届论坛以“共建‘一带一路’、开创美好未来”为主题。
为期3天高峰论坛共设有12场分论坛、一场企业家大会、开幕式、高级别会议与领导人圆桌峰会。
26日上午，中国国家主席习近平出席高峰论坛开幕式并发表题为《齐心开创共建“一带一路”美好未来》的主旨演讲。
27日，习近平主席出席并主持了领导人圆桌峰会。

中国教育三十人论坛
中国教育三十人论坛程介明：很感谢邀请我参加本次盛会，接着刚才Naisbitt先生的话，下个月我要到达尔文开始物种起源的地方，我和达尔文没得比。
最近在学校要换房间了，从大房间改到小房间，很惭愧，我所有的书，绝大部分都是知识性的书，人文的书很少。
我是念物理，念数学，后来研究教育，也是从教育规划开始，从比较硬的东西开始。
刚才，奈斯比德先生说的大概跟我有关系，但是有一部分我的看法结论不一样，1999年香港开始比较全面的教育改革，从那个时候开始我就研究教育的外部，而不是教育的内部。
下面就是大概用15分钟的时间，把我15年的学习经历给大家报告一下。
现在全球都在教育改革，几乎没有国家不说教育改革，但是教育改革的意义在不同的地区、国家，有完全不同的意义。
刚才Naisbitt先生说的有一点我很赞同，教育改革是改革，不是改进。
改进就是将我们现在做的事情做得好一点，多一点。
改革是要把教育完全的从另外一种方法去看，另外的方式去办。
下面就是我的一些分析。
现在在全世界来说，因为2009年PISA之后，全世界有一个互相学习基础教育的动向，因为国内不叫运动，但是这个动向影响很大，所有的国家都在看，但是其中在PISA领头的三个城市，上海、香港、新加坡各方面引起了很多的注意。
我就分析一下我的看法。
我认为教育改革的关键是两个因素，第一个因素是社会变了，到底变成什么？刚才Naisbitt先生说了一些，我说一下我的看法，当然15分钟不能介绍我全面的认识。
第二是微观的回到中国的学习，中国的学习两个字是非常有意义的，因为最近10年、15年里面，学习科学发展得很快，有脑科学的，认知心理学的，还有各方面的，加上评估、技术等。
这些研究的结果怎么样能够指导我们的教育改革是很重要的，我下面说一下我的看法。
全世界对教育的发展，60到70年代，也就是Naisbitt先生做肯尼迪的教育副部长的时候，那个时候主要是教育规划，是系统规划。
入学率，结构，内部效益，外部效益等，就是我们一般说的教育规划；80年代又整整的10年，重心降下来了，很多人觉得学生入学了，但是在学校里面发生了什么事情更重要了，有一段时间叫做学校的研究很快变成了学校管理的研究，现在回过头来看不完全是一回事。

Good morning and a very warm welcome to the inaugural SMU China Forum.
上午好！热烈欢迎各位参加新加坡管理大学（以下简称“新大”）首届中国论坛。
We are all aware that China’s emergence as a political heavyweight and an economic superpower has wide and
far-reaching implications. It is a country with a long history and many different faces. Change in China is taking place at
great speed.
众所周知，作为政治大国和经济强国，中国的崛起会对未来世界产生广泛和长远的影响。
中国拥有悠久的历史和多元性。
中国正在经历着高速的变革。
The new leadership of China is faced with a myriad of complex challenges. These include rapid urbanisation, maintaining social stability, strengthening the social safety net, narrowing the income gap, an ageing population, and restructuring its economy to sustain growth.
中国新的领导人面临着一系列复杂的挑战，包括快速的城镇化、维持社会稳定、加强社会安全、缩小贫富差距、人口老龄化、调整经济结构以保持可持续发展。

Against this backdrop, the SMU China Forum has been organised to provide business leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers and researchers with a more comprehensive and integrated understanding of some of the influences and trends that are shaping China’s growth and development. It aims to enable participants of this Forum, as the theme suggests, to "Be China Ready," by coming together to share, discuss and debate ideas and issues about China that are current and relevant.
在这种背景下，对于中国的成长与发展产生的影响和趋势，新大中国论坛会给商业领袖、企业家、政策决策者和研究人员一个更综合、完整的解读。
如同论坛主题"透析中国，蓄势待发＂所示，此论坛旨在让与会者在一起分享、讨论和辩论与中国现今发展相关的想法和问题。
With these objectives in mind, we have with us today a
stellar line-up of scholars and thought leaders who will share with us their valuable insights on various aspects of China. They are Professor Justin Lin from Peking University who was formerly the Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank; Professor Peng Xizhe from Fudan University; Professor Gan Li from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics; Ms Diana Tsui, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility & Diversity, KPMG China & CEO of KPMG Foundation; and Mr Lim Ming Yan, President and Group CEO of CapitaLand Limited.
