The profile C2 piston seal meets the requirements of the manufacturers of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for seals with the smallest possible housings. Although cross-sec-tions and heights are very small the sealing performance is excellent.Extremely low friction is experi-enced because of the short contact to the sealing surface area. Back-up rings or brack-ets are not required because of the special design.For installation in non-lubri-cated pneumatic systems (dry air) we recommend our profile E4 which fits into the same housings.Die Kolbendichtung Profil C2entspricht der Forderung von Herstellern hydraulischer und pneumatischer Geräte nach Dichtungen, die möglichst klei-ne Einbauräume beanspru-chen. MOLDED D- AND O-RINGS Parker Chomerics D-Ring and O-Ringgaskets provide moisture/pressure sealing and EMI/EMP shielding when compressed in a properly designed groove. They are interchangeable with standard non-conductive seals of the same dimensions. Rings with ID’s greater than 2 in. (51 mm) can be made by splicing extruded materials rather than by molding if groove corner radii are generous. Consult Parker Chomerics before ordering.Note: Grooves for solid D-Rings should be designed to assure 8 to 20% deflection of the gasket height, and 97% maximum groove fill when groove dimensions are on the low side and gasket dimensions are on the high side of the allowable tolerance. For O-Ring grooves, use 10 to 25% deflection of the gasket, and 97% maximum groove fill.
