例如:在教授完五年级下册unit5Lookatthemonkeys后,笔者布置了学生课后一人表演动物的动作或模仿动物的声音,另一位同学猜其表演动物的名称,通过合作性集体学习活动,学生之间不仅可以相互促进、共同提高,而且可以进一步互相理解、互相尊重,学生的创新能力就会得到培养,语言的交流也得到了强化,大大地提高了他们的口语交际能力,更有利于学生综合素质的发展。
(3)自我表现式作业小学生表演欲很强,人人都想在别人面前展示自己。
因此,每学完一课,笔者就让学生把朗读的单词、课文利用录音机录下来,到校后再在全班播放,让其余同学评讲,并选出优秀者。
培养了学生正确的语音语调,听过听录音的回放,可以纠正学生的发音方面的不足,拉近了教师与学生之间的距离,对英语产生更大的兴趣,提高英语的语感,在录音方面,他们都显得落落大方,声音响亮,中齿清晰,说得相当不错。
许多学生为了获得同学的好评,在录音前要反复朗读许多遍,直至到熟读能背诵的程度。
同时,对话也可以运用这种方法,一人扮演多种角色。
这一作业不但增加了学生开口说的机会,培养了学生口语交际的能力,而且大大提高了作业的质量,收到了非常好的效果。
比如,把学过的每歌曲唱给父母听,把有节奏的歌谣说给父母听或教父母唱,使他们在愉快并有节奏的歌曲中学习英语,寓教于乐。
2、动手类作业(1)抄写式作业英语这门语言学科,基础知识的掌握是十分必要的。
让学生巩固所学的基础知识,抄写也是一种很好的方法。
例如,单词是英语学习的基础,要学好英语,就必须牢固地记忆单词。
要做到这一点,抄写单词的作业是不可少的。
但要避免无质量肓目的重复抄写,我们应该遵循学生“先快后慢”的遗忘特点来布置这类作业。
刚接触的新单词可以多写几遍,在初步掌握的基础上,再通过不定期的抄写一到两遍加强记忆,同时可以教给学生一定的记忆方法,可以根据音标记忆单词或是利用加前缀或后缀的方法利用旧知学习新词,例如学习sing这一新单词时,可以让学生联系以前学过的单词singer,只要把后缀er去掉,就是新单词sing 了。
又如,要学生根据教师给出的新单词通过加减前缀或后缀来回忆旧知识,同时还可以让学生在抄单词的同时,让学生画上相应的图片,并涂上颜色,这样,大大提高了学生抄写单词的兴趣,但在抄写单词或句子时,不能盲目的抄,要以激发学生的英语兴趣而设计作业。
(2)手工制做式作业在“任务型教学中”,笔者曾设计过许多制作类作业,让学生享受“I can do it in English”的乐趣,制作类作业既可以让学生复习和强化所学的知识,变机械学习为有意义的学习,又培养了学生的动手能力,审美情趣,也体现了学科间的相互渗透,从而培养了学生的语言综合运用能力,在教授完祈使句后,我就要求学生为我校校园的各个场所设计英语警示牌,于是,学生们就为校园的绿树上制作了“Don’t climb the trees”的标牌,在花坛旁挂上了“Don’t pick the flowers”的警示小牌,在垃圾简旁放了“Put the rubbish in the bin”的警示牌,在楼梯的转弯处有了“Don’t push!”的警示牌,笔者还要求学生利用儿童节,教师节,母亲节,圣挻节等节日,让学生自已制作英语贺卡,写上真诚的祝福,送给自已喜欢的人,笔者的学生兴致高昂,他们不仅运用了书上的祝福语,而且还摘录并运用了其它的一些祝福语,如:“Best wishes for a happy New Year!””Keep your healthy!”等,笔者还借用了学生制作的许多图片作为教具,学生所制作的卡片被利用后他们的心情都很很激动的,他们体验到成功的喜悦,笔者也帮助学生建立了“成功的自我意象”,被需要是人的心理活动的重要动力,每个人都渴望被人承认,这种形式能让学生勇于实践,不怕犯错误,充满自信的积极情绪。
(3)自主性收集式作业教育家苏霍姆林期基说:“在人的心灵深处都有一种根深蒂固的需要,就是希望感到自已是一个发现者,研究者,而在儿童的精神世界这种需求更为强烈”每人学生都有自身的的特点,自我发展的潜力。
因此,笔者在设计课外作业时,就为学生提供自主学习的机会及充分表现自我发展的空间,抛出了一项让学生自已去找生活中的英语,这样就激发了学生的好奇心,提高学生学习英语的积极性,而且还可以培养学生的灵活性和敏捷度。
去年,笔者在教三年级学生学习英语字母时,为了激发学生们学习英语的兴趣,笔者就设计了一项让学生自由组合,自已动手,抄录存在于生活中的英语,学生们兴趣很高,经过一周的努力,色彩斑澜的英语作业就摆在我的面前,令笔者大吃一惊他们抄录了很多的生活标志英语,学生交给笔者一份满意的作业,如:有的学生找了CCTV(中央电视台)有的学生找了KFC(肯德基)WC(厕所)M(麦当劳)P(停车场)PULL(推)UP等等。
通过这次作业,学生们发现:英语应用范围如此广泛,这也为他们今后的学习,开拓了好的局面。
笔者在教学生们用英语说数字时,我就让学生见到数字就用英语说出来,如:学生们见到车牌号,门牌号,电话号等等,此外,笔者还组织学生开展”生活英语大搜索活动“让学生们留意收集和摘抄一些生活中的英语句子,自已动手抄录一些所见的英语,如:“No Smoking”(禁止吸烟)“No Park(禁止停车),Take this way, please(请往这边走)”等。
3.分层次式作业学生的学习能力各不相同,“一刀切”的作业往往会导致“好的学生吃不饱,差的学生吃不了”,必然加重学困生的课业负担。
因此,笔者在布置作业时要考虑到学生的学习能力的差异性,对不同层次的学生提出不同的作业要求,既让差生跳一跳能摘到“桃子”,又能保证优等生免受“饥饿”之苦。
笔者还根据教学目标将作业设计成A、B、C三个档次。
其中A类作业偏重于综合能力的运用;C 类作业偏重于基础知识的巩固和积累,B类作业则介于二者之间,学生根据自己的学习水平来选择作业。
如,小学四年级教学中,学完《Unit5Howmuchisit?》Let’stalk部分,笔者给学生设计了三类作业:A类作业:学生可以自创情境,设计对话;B类作业:由学生自由组合表演文中对话;C类作业:能听懂课文录音,能流利地诵读课文。
这样的作业设计能满足不同层次的学生的要求,而且由学生自己选择作业,能使不同层次、不同水平的学生都能体会到学习和成功的乐趣。
4.新课预习型作业学习新知识对每个学生或多或少都有一些困难,预习型作业就是为新知识的学习作铺垫,为新旧知识架桥梁,从而减少学生对新知识的畏惧感。
每一堂新课开始时,笔者都会给学生布置预习型作业。
例如:在学习小学英语《Myfamily》一课时,笔者先在课前布置听读第二天要学习的课文内容,并给所学句子标注中文和给单词标上音标,为本课的单词和句型的学习打好基础;同时让学生通过电脑上网、图书室查阅书刊杂志等方式,收集有关英文的资料,为本课学习作铺垫,这大大降低了新知识学习的难度,同时还提高了学生的自学能力,扩大了知识面。
