2 术语
2.0.1 设计船型Design Vessel
设计船型是用于确定码头、港池和航道尺度的船型，按其确定的尺度能保证所有使用码头、港池和航道的船舶在给定的条件下均能安全操作。
2.0.2 良好掩护码头Well Sheltered Terminal
有天然或人工掩护条件，港内作业平稳，且设计重现期波浪不会对码头上部结构构成安全影响的码头。
2.0.3 开敞式码头Open Sea Terminal
位于开敞海域、无天然或人工掩护条件、外海波浪可直接影响码头结构安全的码头。
2.0.4 半开敞式码头Partly Open Sea Terminal
码头前沿波况条件介于良好掩护码头与开敞式码头之间的码头，称为半开敞式码头，或部分掩护式码头、半掩护式码头。
2.0.5 危险品码头Dangerous Cargo Terminal
危险品码头是指主要装卸、存储和运输危险品的码头。
危险品是指列入《国际海运危险货物规则》、《危险货物品名表》等国际海事组织或国家相关标准规定的，具有爆炸、易燃、毒害、感染、放射性等特性，在水路运输、港口装卸和储存等过程中，容易造成人身伤亡、财产损毁或对环境造成危害而需要特别防护的货物。
2.0.6 进港航道设计通过能力Design Traffic-capacity of Approach Channel
对于确定港区的给定航道和一定的到港船型组合，在港口正常生产作业状态下，基于一定的港口服务水平，一年期内通过该航道的船舶数量或船舶载货吨。
2.0.7 复式航道Compound Channel
同一航道设计断面处有两个或两个以上不同通航水深的航道。
2.0.8 液体散货码头Liquid Bulk Terminal
原油、成品油、液体化工品和液化石油气、液化天然气等散装液体货物的装卸码头统称为液体散货码头。
2.0.9 通用码头Bulk and General Cargo Terminal
装卸多个散杂货货种的非专业化码头。
多用途码头Multipurpose Terminal
装卸件杂货和集装箱的码头。
泊位设计通过能力Berth Design Capacity
一个泊位在一年内能够装卸船舶所载货物的额定数量。
泊位利用率和泊位有效利用率Berth Utilization Rate & Effective Berth Utilization Rate 泊位利用率为一年中船舶实际占用泊位的天数与年日历天数之比；泊位有效利用率为一年中船舶实际占用泊位的天数与泊位年可营运天数之比。
单位直接装卸成本Unit Cost of Cargo Handling
货物从进港至出港止所发生的装卸、搬运直接费用，其成本项目包括机械设备年基本折旧费及年修理费，职工工资、福利费，电力、燃料及润油料费，以及装卸生产所产生的其他直接费。
可通过用装卸总费用除以装卸吞吐量计算得出。
