本单元的话题贴近学生的生活，有利于激发学生的学习兴趣和积极性。
教材通过丰富的语言材料，帮助学生进一步掌握一般过去时的用法，提高听说读写的能力。
同时，本单元还涉及了一些日常交际用语，有助于学生提高实际运用英语进行交流的能力。
二. 学情分析九年级的学生已经掌握了基本的英语语法知识，对一般过去时有一定的了解。
他们在学习过程中，能够通过自主学习、合作学习和探究学习等方式，逐步提高自己的英语水平。
但部分学生对一些语法细节和词汇用法还不够熟练，需要老师在教学中进行针对性的指导。
三. 教学目标1.知识目标：–掌握一般过去时的用法；–学会使用本单元涉及的日常交际用语；–理解并运用本单元的核心词汇。
2.能力目标：–提高学生的听说读写能力；–培养学生的英语思维能力和跨文化交际意识。
