They could also exercise our imagination, empathize with others, and improve our understanding of language. So don't assume someone who read books other than those based on truth and reality doesn't read good books.

Till now, I have read the Old Man and the Sea written by Earnest Hemingway for more than three times, and the book refreshes me every time I read it. The old man, Santiago, strikes me deeply with his words “man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated.”Besides, I could feel the beauty of language in reading this book, especially in the words Hemingway used to describe how Santiago fights against the big fish, Marlin.
