食物与我们的情绪关系作文英语

食物与我们的情绪关系作文英语Food has always been closely linked to our emotions, and the relationship between the two is complex and multifaceted. Our emotional state can greatly influence the way we eat, and conversely, the food we consume can impact our emotions. This intricate interplay between food and emotions has been the subject of much research and discussion in recent years. One of the most common ways in which our emotions affect our food choices is through emotional eating. Many peopleturn to food as a source of comfort when they are feeling sad, stressed, or anxious. This can lead to overeating and unhealthy food choices, as individuals seek solace in the temporary pleasure that food provides. Emotional eating can become a vicious cycle, as feelings of guilt and shame following overindulgence only serve to exacerbate negative emotions.Conversely, the food we consume can also have a profound impact on our emotions. A balanced and nutritious diet has been shown to have positive effects on mental health, while a diet high in processed and unhealthy foods can contribute to mood disorders and emotional instability. For example, research has linked the consumption of fruits and vegetables with lower rates of depression and anxiety, while excessive consumption of sugar and refined carbohydrates has been associated with increased risk of depression. Moreover, certain foods contain bioactive compounds that can directly affect brain function and emotional well-being. For instance, omega-3 fatty acids found in fatty fish have been shown to have anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects, which may help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. Similarly, the consumption of dark chocolate has been associated with the release of endorphins and otherfeel-good neurotransmitters in the brain. In addition to the physiological impact of food on emotions, the act of eating itself can also have emotional significance. Sharing a meal with loved ones can foster feelings of connection and belonging, while certain foods may evoke nostalgic memories and feelings of comfort. Moreover, the ritual of preparing and enjoying a meal can be a source of pleasure and satisfaction, providing a sense of control and accomplishment in our daily lives. However, it is important to recognize the potential pitfalls of relying too heavily on food as a means of managing our emotions. Developing healthy coping mechanisms and seeking professional support when needed are crucial in addressing underlying emotional issues. Finding alternative ways to soothe and nurture ourselves, such as engaging in physical activity, practicing mindfulness, or seeking social support, can help break the cycle of emotional eating and promote overall well-being.In conclusion, the relationship between food and emotions is undeniably complex, with both exerting a significant influence on each other. Understanding and acknowledging this interplay is essential in cultivating a healthy and balanced approach to both food and emotions. By being mindful of the connections between our emotional state and our dietary choices, we can strive to develop a positive and nourishing relationship with food that supports our overall emotional well-being.。

Ethology is concerned with the study of adaptive,or survival, value of behavior and its evolutionary history.Ethological theory began to be applied to research on children in the1960's but has become even more influential today. The origins of ethology can be traced back to the work of Darwin. Its modern foundations were laid by two European zoologists,Konrad Lorenz and Niko Tinbergen.Watching the behaviors diverse animal species in their natural habitats,Lorenz, and Tinbergen observed behavior patterns that promote survival. The most well-known of these is imprinting, the early following behavior of certain baby birds that ensures that the young will stay close to their mother and be fed and protected from danger.Imprinting takes place during an early, restricted time period of development. If the mother goose is not present during this time, but an object resembling her in important features is,young goslings may imprint on it instead.Observations of imprinting led to major concept that has been applied in child development—the critical period. It refers to a limited times span during which the child is biologically prepared to acquire certain adaptive behaviors but needs the support of suitably stimulating environment. Many researchers have conducted studies to find out whether complex cognitive and social behaviors must be learned during restricted time periods. For example,if children are deprived of adequate food or physical and social stimulation during the early years of life, will their intelligence be permanently impaired? If language is not mastered during the preschool years,is the child's capacity to acquire it reduced?Inspired by observations of imprinting,in1969the British psychoanalyst John Bowlby applied ethological theory to the understanding of the relationship between an infant and its parents. He argued that attachment behaviors of babies, such as smiling, babbling, grasping, and crying, are built-in social signals that encourage the parents to approach, care for,and interact with the baby.By keeping a parent near, these behaviors help ensure that the baby will be fed, protected from danger, and provided with the stimulation and affection necessary for healthy growth. The development of attachment in human infants is a lengthy process involving changes in psychological structures that lead to a deep affectional tie between parent and baby.1.What was Darwin's contribution to ethology?(A)Darwin improved on the original principles of ethology.(B)Darwin was the professor who taught Lorenz and Tinbergen.(C)Darwin's work provided the basis for ethology.(D)Darwin was the first person to apply ethological theory to children.2.The word diverse in line6is closest in meaning to(A)small(B)varied(C)wild(D)particular3.The word ensures in line8is closest in meaning to(A)guarantees(B)proves(C)teaches(D)assumes4.According to the passage,if a mother goose is not present during the time period when imprinting takes place, which of the following will most likely occur?(A)The gosling will not imprint on any object.(B)The gosling may not find a mate when it matures.(C)The mother will later imprint on the gosling.(D)The gosling may imprint on another object.5.The word it in line12refers to(A)development(B)goose(C)time(D)object6.The word suitably in line16is closest in meaning to(A)willingly(B)moderately(C)appropriately(D)emotionally7.The author mentions all of the following as attachment behaviors of human infants EXCEPT(A)grasping(B)crying(C)eating(D)smiling8.According to the passage, attachment behaviors of infants are intended to(A)get the physical, emotional and social needs of the infant met(B)allow the infant to become imprinted on objects that resemble the parent(C)provide the infant with a means of self-stimulation(D)prepare the infant to cope with separation9.The phrase affectional tie in line30is closest in meaning to(A)cognitive development(B)emotional attachment(C)psychological need(D)behavioral change10.It can be inferred from the passage that ethological theory assumes that(A)to learn about human behavior only human subjects should be studied(B)failure to imprint has no influence on intelligence(C)the notion of critical periods applies only to animals(D)there are similarities between animal and human behavior参考答案:CBADD CCABD。

情绪化饮食英文作文
情绪化饮食英文作文英文:Emotional eating is a common problem that affects many people. It refers to the tendency to eat in response to emotions rather than physical hunger. This can lead to overeating and weight gain, as well as other negative consequences such as guilt, shame, and low self-esteem.I have struggled with emotional eating in the past, and it can be difficult to overcome. For me, stress and anxiety are the biggest triggers for emotional eating. When I feel overwhelmed or anxious, I often turn to food for comfort. This can include anything from sweets and junk food tocarb-heavy meals like pasta and bread. One of the biggest challenges with emotional eating is that it can be hard to recognize. It's easy to mistake emotional hunger for physical hunger, and to eat more than we need as a result. However, there are some signs that canhelp us distinguish between the two. For example, emotional hunger often comes on suddenly and is accompanied by a specific craving, whereas physical hunger tends to build gradually and is more general. To overcome emotional eating, it's important to develop healthy coping mechanisms for dealing with emotions. This could include things like exercise, meditation, or talking to a friend. It's also helpful to have healthy snacks on hand for when cravings strike, such as fruit or nuts.Overall, emotional eating is a complex issue that requires self-awareness and effort to overcome. But with the right strategies and support, it is possible to break the cycle and develop a healthier relationship with food.中文:情绪化饮食是一个影响许多人的常见问题。

Ⅰ.阅读理解AFlyingEver since I was old enough to dream,I have imagined myself soaring with the eagles. My love of flying has shaped the way I live and the person I have become. Two years ago, that passion rocketed to new heights when I had the opportunity to visit Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona. For a whole week I lived in a college dorm, roomed with a total stranger and—best of all—I flew!My group took part in activities ranging from learning about the history of aviation(航空) to flying in state-of-the-art pilot training simulators(模拟装置).At least once a day,I devoted myself to learning one of the world’s best training aircrafts, the Cessna 182.Not only did I receive thorough ground instruction, but I also got to fly.In total,I flew five hours to receive my private pilot’s license. In that one joyous and oh-so-short week,my passion for aviation grew even stronger. Now,whenever I see a plane flying overhead,I feel a sense of pride thinking I’ve done that.During my time in and above the Arizona desert,I learned not only about the mechanics and techniques of aviation, but also about myself and how I see the world. As I floated in that seemingly endless sea of air,I became aware of the variety and complexity of the humanity below. On the ribbons of roadways, each tiny car carried people with hopes and dreams.I wondered if any of those people had ever wished to fly like an eagle. Then I realized that each must have his or her own dreams and ambitions. That’s what makes us unique. We try to respond to something special inside us.I also realized that I was especially fortunate to be making my own dream come true.Everywhere I go,I hear,“Do what makes you happy and you will be happy.”It sounds like standard advice, but I’ve really thought about it and taken it to heart.I couldn’t care less about how much money I make or what benefits I receive.I know that I am already in hot pursuit(追逐) of my dreams. And,even if they change, even if they finally don’t involve aviation,I’ll always aim to fly with the eagles.1.Two years ago,the author .A.was admitted to a universityB.stayed in a university for one weekC.saw the launch of the rocketD.made good friends with an astronaut答案B解析细节理解题。
