【例句展示】仔细观察下列三组句子,注意祈使句的变化。
1. “Pay attention to English grammar in your article,” the teacher said.→ The teacher told the students to pay attention to En glish grammar in their article.2. “Don’t make any noise while I am at work,” Mom said to us.→ Mom told us not to make any noise while she was at work.3. “Don’t open the letter,” he said.→ He said that I wasn’t to open the letter.【自我归纳】观察以上三组例句,我们可以发现祈使句变为间接引语时,除了有人称的变化外,句式上也发生了变化。
★多使用一个不定式,有时也可使用一个______。
★前面的谓语动词根据语气来决定。
常见的引用动词为tell / order / desire / beg / ask / request/ demand等,后常接sb. (not) to do sth.。

我们为什么要学英语?
【单元写作呈现】
Brainstorm with a partner on the following topic: Why should we learn English? Then try to make a poster to show your ideas. Then write a short passage based on your poster.
【写作分析】
本单元写作要求学生围绕某一话题先设计一张海报(poster),然后根据海报内容完成一篇习作,属于开放式作文。
开放式作文为学生划定了写作范围,但没有规定具体的写作内容和要点,让学生根据所给材料自己立意,自己决定文章的要点和层次,这种书面表达形式增强了对输出性语言的考查,主要考查学生观察、分析、获取有效信息和排除无关信息的能力。
这样既给出了一定范围,又给予了学生适当的发挥空间。
这种命题形式能较好地考查学生的语言组织能力、书面表达能力以及思维能力。
【审题要素】
根据海报所写的短文要求针对某个现象(或问题)发表自己的观点并陈述理由。
从文体上看,属于议论文范畴。
提笔前学生需考虑哪个观点或理由有更多的内容可写。
此外,此类文章常常谈论的是现在的情况,所以时态应用一般现在时。
行文类似于英语演讲稿的形式,所以主体人称应为第一人称。
【思路引导】
第一步:先设计“Why should we learn English?”的海报。
海报的写作方式如下:
1. Why should we learn English? 作标题,位于海报的正中间。
2. 接下来列出学英语的理由(可与同学讨论,多列几条)。
3. 最后写结论。
第二步:根据海报内容所写的短文属于议论文。
此类文章谋篇布局时应注意以下几个步骤:
1. 开门见山提出问题或看法。
2. 列出至少三条合理的理由或原因(根据海报所给要点来写)。
3. 作出总结,呼应首段(也可提出个人观点及理由)。

【海报写作的注意事项】
1. 英文海报主题应该明确、一目了然。
它的内容简明扼要,形式新颖美观。
海报要求用最少的文字包含最多的信息,因此海报多用省略句、缩略语、短语等等。
2. 为进一步增强海报的醒目性,一些重要信息常常分行来写,并且在其前面用粗点、星号等特殊符号加以强调,有时还配有图片以增加吸引力。
【议论文写作常用表达】
As a student, I am strongly in favor of the decision. (表明自己的观点)
The reasons for this may be listed as follows. (过渡句,承上启下)
First of all, ... Secondly, ... Besides, ... (列出2-3个赞成或反对的理由)In conclusion, I believe that ...(结论)
