如何成为一名好老师(英文版)

Reflection on How to Be a Good TeacherFor the question what kind of teacher can be defined as a good teacher, everyone may have their own opinions. The one who help you to improve your scores is a good teacher; the one who treat you like his or her own child may be a good teacher, or the one who influences your world outlook and your view of life and so on. Since we are in a normal university, we are all aimed to be a good teacher. Then what kind of teacher is a good teacher? What kind of qualities do a good teacher should have and what can we do to improve ourselves towards to aim of being a good teacher? We have been thinking about these questions these years when we are in normal university. It seems that to be a good teacher is our lifelong dream. Therefore, in this paper I want to talk about my opinions about what kind of teacher a good teacher is and how to be a good teacher. As is I mentioned above, different people have different criteria for a good teacher. In Seymour Erichsen’book The Essence of Good Teaching, he described that “an outstanding teacher should be an inspiring instructor who is concerned about students, an active scholar who is respected by discipline peers, and efficient organized professional who is accessible to students and colleagues”(Ericksen 1984:3). 1A argue that there is almost always a discrepancy between what professionals say they believe and the way which they act. In order to balance the discrepancy, teachers should have self-awareness, that is to say, good teachers should become reflective practitioners during the teaching procedures. However, according to Feuerstein’s theory of mediation, a good teacher should be a mediator. Mediation theory tells us that the teacher is to help learners to find ways of moving into their next level of understanding of the language. Undoubtedly, these studies are all rational. As for me, I think a good teacher is the one who can mediate students’zone of proximate development and help learners grasp knowledge and one survival skill, and also, he or she must teach students how to be good people. This good people have lots of means, like virtuous, creative, brave, strong qualities and so on. In a word, not only knowledge and skills, emotional attitude and cultural consciousness should also be taught by teachers. Then this is a good teacher.1 Marion Williams & Robert L. Burden. Psychology for language teachers. Page 47.For the second issue, what kind of qualities a good teacher should have. It depends on different areas, educational objects, learners and also historical background etc. However, there are some essential qualities of good teachers. (1) Teaching is a lifelong learning process, whenever we walk into a classroom to teach something, we face different issues and learn from them. We will find how well a technique works, how a student processes language, how classroom interaction can be improved, how to access a student’s competence, how emotions enter into learning, or how your teaching style affects learners.2 The discoveries go on and on --- for a lifetime. Therefore, the most basic quality of a good teacher is never to stop learning. The world changes day and night, knowledge will be never enough, so a good teacher should always keep pace with the development of times and society and never stop learning and accepting new things. (2) A good teacher should have the self-awareness of reflecting herself. There is always a gap between what teachers believe and what they act, so a good teacher should reflect every class and then check the consistency between his or her belief and act. Through this continuous reflection and correction, a good teacher can promote teaching efficiency and validity. Therefore, the belief which a teacher holds is the most important thing for the reflective process. Teachers’beliefs about learners, learning and themselves have a great influence to teachers’ act in the classroom. A good teacher regards learners as democratic and individual explorers, regards learning process as the acquisition of facts, procedures etc. which can be retained or used in practices and also some form of personal change, regards himself or herself as a mediator and a normal people who help learners to learn and also learn from learners. This is the second quality that a good teacher should have. (3) Competent and ample knowledge of a subject is necessary for a good teacher. Students’love to the teacher stars from worship. Notwithstanding it is true that teachers are ordinary people and they can’t know and grasp all the things, a knowledgeable teacher is the beginning of being a good teacher. When I was in junior middle school, my historical teacher was very professional and she never taught us with her course book. She mastered the whole historical procedure and all the historical testing points. A piece of chalk and the blackboard are enough. It just looked like telling stories. We all admired and respect her. As a language teacher, a high degree certificate is primary and important. As for English teachers, the TEM-42H. Douglas Brown. Teaching by Principles: An Interactive Approach to Language Pedagogy. Page 425and TEM-8 certificates are essential for each. They are not only the proof that you have acquired the language aptitude but also the possibility that you can be competent to the task of English teaching. Together with the knowledge, a good teacher also should have the analytical skills for assessing and dealing with different teaching contexts, materials and classroom conditions. The teacher who has ample language knowledge but no teaching skills seems like dumpling in a boiler but can’t be poured out, vice versa. (4) Positive and optimistic characters are also indispensable parts of a good teacher. Nowadays, learners from pupils to college students are shouldering much pressure and facing lots of difficulties. Therefore, psychological illness is common among students, such as depression, autism and suicide. Obviously, teachers are not doctors. However, knowledge and skills are absolutely not the only things to teach. As a member of this society, human beings must learn how to face to the difficulties and survive from the strong pressure. And this is a part of teachers’profession. A good teacher teaches learners knowledge, skills and also transfers the emotional attitude and cultural consciousness to learners. A good teacher is a positive, optimistic and brave man who sets a good example for students. These are the essential qualities that a good teacher should have. Teachers, as ordinary people in our society, shoulder the responsibility of imparting knowledge and educating people. Therefore, a good teacher should have a love of teaching, find and acquire happiness in this process even though this profession is a serious and difficult one. After having decided to be a teacher, I have always been thinking of what we should prepare for it. It is a complicated and serious profession. It is also such a profession that will guarantee you more than your fair share of challenge, growth, joy, and fulfillment. To be a qualified, respectable and be loved teacher is the lifelong dream of every teacher. Therefore, what can we do to achieve this goal? As an undergraduate student, I should prepare lots of things before being a formal teacher. Firstly, study hard and do more research. Solid foundation of professional knowledge is the most essential thing for a teacher. Researches can help teachers find and resolve problems in the teaching process and then improve the teaching quality and efficiency. In the following one year, I will read more professional books and do more researches to prepare for my forthcoming formal teaching career. Secondly, set realistic goals for the forthcoming days. One of the most invigorating things about teaching is that younever stop learning. We can learn from students and also we should learn by ourselves continually. As I mentioned above, teachers should always be ahead of the times and set realistic goals. The realistic goals must be dependent on the priority and difficulty. The easy goal come first, then the important goal followed by the difficult goal. Realistic goals and a reasonable order can enhance my professional accomplishment and confidence, vice versa. For example, my goals of the coming year is to read three teacher resource books, do a research, observe five teachers’lessons and reflect on myself every month. And also, different periods have different goals. Thirdly, practice and take risks. Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth. Since we have learned so many theories and methodologies, it is time to practice, to test whether they are useful or not. When there is a good idea and reform scheme, it must be tested first in a small scale in advance. I think every reform is a process of taking risks. Through this, we education get some appropriate reform schemes. There are no permanent good and appropriate teaching methods for the changes in the world and society. Therefore, as a beginning teacher, I should have the awareness of finding out new ideas and take risks to practice them. This kind of creativity and adventure spirit on teachers will have a great influence on students. Last but not least, enrich our daily life. Most people consider the teachers’ life as boring, simple and vapidity. However, teachers’ life is full of happiness and changes because of students. And also students are eager to know much about teachers’ experience. A wealth of experience is a great asset and glamour which will help you to achieve more admirations and respects. Consequently, we should travel, take exercise, read books, watch fashionable plays and take part in more activities if we have some square time. And also, by doing these, we will improve ourselves inside and outside. This brave, active and optimistic spirit will bring energy to students. When they are facing to the difficulties and pressures, students will be brave and optimistic too.All in all, there are different standards for a good teacher. My opinion on a good teacher can’t stand for all opinions. However, one criterion that will be never changed is to be helpful and nice to your students. To be a good teacher is a long and difficult procedure. In this procedure, both ourselves and the students will be improved and perfected. It is a mutually beneficial process. Every teacher can be a good teacher.References[1] H. Douglas Brown. (2001). Teaching by Principles: An Interactive Approach to Language Pedagogy. 四有好老师的英语作文
四有好老师的英语作文"Teachers are the foundation of education." A qualified teacher must have "ideals and beliefs, moral sentiments, solid knowledge and a heart of benevolence". Young people are the new force for national prosperity and national rejuvenation. To cultivate the young generation needed by society, society, families and schools need to work together to build. And school education plays a vital role in it. Therefore, as a member of the teaching team, I will be a good teacher satisfied by the party and the people with diligence and perseverance, which will become my unswerving goal.1、 Be a dreamer with ideals and beliefsIn my opinion, a good teacher should be the unity of "Confucian classics teacher" and "human teacher". He should not only be good at "teaching" and "Dispelling doubts", but also take "preaching" as his responsibility and mission. Teachers shoulder the important responsibility of training the next generation. Correct ideals and beliefs are the guiding lights for teaching, educating people and sowing the future. Those who have achieved great things in ancient times not only have outstanding talents, but also have tenacious ambition. That is what we call ideals and beliefs. Only with firm ideals andbeliefs can we maintain the correct direction of life and finally sail to the other side of success by riding the wind and waves. As the writer Dingling said, "as long as people have faith and pursuit, they can endure any hardship and adapt to any environment." As teachers, we must strengthen our ideals and beliefs, so we should do the following two things.First of all, we should be mindful of the world. A good teacher should have a country and a nation in his mind, and be clearly aware of the national mission and social responsibility he shoulders. Our education serves the people, socialism with Chinese characteristics, reform, opening up and socialist modernization. What the party and the people need to train are builders and successors of the socialist cause. A good teacher should be an active communicator of the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, help students build, pursue and realize their dreams, and let generations of young people become positive energy to realize our national dream.Secondly, students should be concerned. As a qualified people's teacher, we must take "everything for students, for all students, for all students" as the highest educationalcriterion. Care for students, breathe with students, share weal and woe, and establish a harmonious relationship of "I am the mother of life, and life is my son". Actively cultivate students' life attitude of patriotism, love of the people, love of the party, love of the school and love of friends; Moreover, we should have a persistent attitude towards work. Conscientiously, diligently, do a good job in all aspects of education and teaching, and complete education and teaching with a serious and persistent attitude: I work, I am happy; I educate people, I am happy!2、 Be a moral educatorMr. Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator, once said, "because morality is the foundation of life, even if it is a bad thing, even if you have some knowledge and skills, it is useless." It can be seen that a good teacher should cultivate noble moral sentiments.Moral sentiment is the core quality for good teachers to fulfill their educational mission. Teachers are "the model of human relations and the teacher of all ages". To establish morality, we should first establish teachers, and to cultivate people, we should first correct ourselves. A good teacher should not only open the door of students' wisdom with academicattainments, but also guide students' hearts with personality charm. A qualified teacher should first be a morally qualified person, and a good teacher should first be a model who teaches and stands by virtue. A teacher is a mirror of students' moral cultivation. Teachers' morality is the embodiment of profound knowledge cultivation and cultural taste. Teachers' morality needs education and cultivation, but also teachers' self-cultivation. A good teacher should have the dedication of "holding one heart, not taking half a straw", consciously adhere to the spiritual home and the bottom line of personality, take the lead in promoting socialist morality and traditional Chinese virtues, and influence and drive students with their own exemplary behavior. A good teacher's moral sentiment should ultimately be reflected in his loyalty and love for his profession. He should be persistent in teaching and educating people, consciously adhere to his spiritual home, adhere to the bottom line of personality, and influence and drive students with his own exemplary behavior.3、 Be a solid and knowledgeable educator"If the accumulation of water is not thick, the great boat will be powerless." It is intended to warn teachers that without solid knowledge, excellent teaching ability, diligent teachingattitude and scientific teaching methods, there is no model for others. As the saying goes, "it is never too old to learn." To be a good teacher, I think we should keep pace with the times and be brave in innovation. "Innovation is the soul of a nation's progress and the inexhaustible driving force for a country's prosperity." Especially in the era of knowledge economy, science and technology are developing with each passing day. In the face of the era of rapid economic development, a new round of curriculum reform, and students in the new era, new knowledge is emerging in endlessly, and the cycle of knowledge updating is becoming shorter and shorter. In order to enable students to obtain a little light of knowledge, teachers should absorb the whole ocean of light. If teachers' knowledge is not solid and teaching is not hard, they will inevitably be short of money in teaching, let alone be skillful. Therefore, a good teacher can not be satisfied with filling his own "bucket of water", but should make himself always have "living water", update his knowledge structure, and actively respond to new challenges, so as to find new problems, solve new problems, and guide students to the right direction while realizing their own long-term development.4、 Be a kind paverMr. Lu Xun said, "education is rooted in love.". Love is the soul of education. There is no education without love. Loving students is a solid professional background for teachers. Teachers originally shine with a light called "selflessness". Education is a cause of love, and education is the transmission of love. A good teacher should cultivate, inspire and spread love with love, shorten the distance with students through true feelings, sincerity and sincerity, and moisten students' hearts. Love is the beginning for students to open the door of knowledge and enlighten their minds. Love can moisten and water the beautiful flowers of students' hearts. A good teacher should be full of love and trust in the education and guidance of students. He should pour his warmth and emotion into every student, enhance students' confidence with appreciation, and build students' self-esteem with trust, so that every student can grow up healthily and enjoy the joy of success. A good teacher should understand that when he chooses to be a teacher, he chooses responsibility. He should fulfill the responsibility of teaching and educating people and cultivating morality, and embody this responsibility in ordinary, ordinary and subtle teaching management. The stage of life is as big as the teacher's sense of responsibility. Soas to achieve: the communication between soul and soul, the blending of soul and soul, and the dialogue between personality and personality are inseparable from the heart of benevolence.Today's students are the main force to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the future, and the majority of teachers are the dream builders who build this "dream team" of the Chinese nation. As a member of the teaching team, let us devote all our energy and true feelings to the cause of education, strive to study and consciously practice, internalize and externalize the standards of "Four Haves" good teachers in the new era, be a dream builder of the "dream team", and educate people with sincerity and wisdom!译文:“教师是教育的基础”,一个合格的教师必须具有“理想信念、道德情操、扎实的知识和仁爱之心”。
从事老师需要的技能英语作文
从事老师需要的技能英语作文How to Be a Good Teacher It is not easy to be a good teacher, because a good teacher is required to have many qualities as follows. Firstly, a good teacher must have a good personal quality such as being patient to tolerate the students who have made some mistakes, showing enthusiasm in class, being humorous, having a quick response to the immediate emergency, being open-minded, etc. Probably, the teachers with these personal qualities will attract students and be liked by them. Secondly, a good teacher should have the teaching faculty. In order to have this capability, a teacher should acquire enough knowledge. On the one hand, he should acquire the wide knowledge of philosophy, psychology, education (how to teach),culture, history, geography, etc. On the other hand, he must master much deeper theories in his research field. Apart from this knowledge, an English teacher should possess the necessary skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating, among which speaking is of paramount importance. In addition, a good English teacher may have the means to activate his class and give students the opportunities to practice English. Only in this way students can use English and improve their communicative competence. Thirdly, a goodteacher should have the awareness of learning. We are in an information age, and the knowledge is changing quickly. If a teacher doesn’t charge himself from time to time, his theory may be out of date, and he may not keep the pace with development of our society. At present, a teacher is required not only to know how to teach, but also to do research in his field. So,he should update his theory and know the newest one in the world. Finally, a good teacher should have moral quality, that is to say, a good teacher should be a model and set a good example to his students and others. A good teacher will be a good citizen, for example, complying with the laws of our country and the rules of the school, offering seats on the bus, helping others, and so on. For a good teacher the most important moral is to love students and to love the course of teaching. As long as he has the innate love for his profession, he may has enormous zest for his students, and become an excellent teacher. With reference to the above aspects, manifestly, I am not a good teacher. That's why having a really great teacher can make such a huge difference. They don't just teach you stuff from books, they shape who you are as a person in so many ways. I was lucky enough to have an amazing 3rd grade teacher named Mrs. Thompson who helped me grow more than I ever could have imagined. On the very first day, when I walked into her classroom feeling nervous and unsure, Mrs. Thompson had this warm, welcoming smile that immediately put me at ease. She made an effort to learn all our names and a little bit about each of us right away. Some teachers, they just see a room full of kids. But Mrs. Thompson really saw us as individuals from day one.Her excitement about learning was just infectious. You could tell she absolutely loved teaching and wanted us to love it too. She made every lesson feel like an adventure, whether we werereading an exciting book, exploring a new math concept, or studying the planets. Instead of just lecturing at us, she would get us actively involved through group activities, hands-on projects, educational games, you name it. Learning stopped feeling like a chore and started feeling like fun.The way Mrs. Thompson taught went way beyond just memorizing facts too. She challenged us to really understand ideas at a deeper level through questioning, analysis, and discussion. She wanted us to think for ourselves instead of just accepting everything at face value. Whenever we had different opinions or viewpoints, she encouraged us to share them respectfully. Her classroom was a judgement-free zone where it was okay to be wrong sometimes as long as you were willing to learn.More than anything, Mrs. Thompson cared about each and every one of her students. When I was struggling with long division, she patiently went over it with me one-on-one as many times as I needed. If another student was having a bad day, she would take time to listen and offer kind encouragement. She looked out for the kids who were shy or got picked on, making sure they felt safe and included. I'm sure there were plenty of times she could've just stuck to the curriculum and got frustratedwith us for not getting something right away. Instead, she met us where we were at and helped us grow at our own pace.Mrs. Thompson taught us lessons about way more than just school subjects too. She was a stellar role model who practiced what she preached about being a good person. She treated everyone with respect, kindness and fairness. When conflicts came up between students, she would help us learn how to communicate, see each other's perspectives, and resolve the issues in a peaceful way. She encouraged us to be confident, work hard, and never give up - even when something felt really difficult. Watching her live out those values of character, perseverance and compassion made a powerful impression. Some teachers are just doing their jobs, counting down the days until break or retirement. Not Mrs. Thompson. She went above and beyond every single day to create a warm, nurturing classroom environment where kids felt motivated, validated and truly cared about as human beings. Even now, years later, so much of who I am today was shaped by having her as a teacher when I was young. Her passion for learning, strength of character and belief in me helped set me on a positive path.Having that kind of role model during such an impressionable time made me more confident and resilient. Itshaped my values and view of the world in the best way. A teacher may only be a part of your life for a relatively short period, but the impact of an excellent one like Mrs. Thompson lasts forever. I'll be forever grateful that she helped set me on the right path when I was just a kid. Who knows where I'd be today without her guidance and nurturing? Even now as an adult, I try to incorporate the lessons she exemplified about being a good human being into how I treat others and live my life. The world could use more passionate, caring teachers like Mrs. Thompson who don't just teach from textbooks, but help shape young minds and souls. She's living proof of the lasting impact an incredible teacher can make.篇2A Good Teacher's Lasting ImpactTeachers are some of the most important people in our lives, especially when we're young kids just starting our educational journey. A truly great teacher can shape how we see the world and have a lasting positive impact that extends far beyond the classroom walls. I was fortunate enough to have an incredible fourth-grade teacher named Mrs. Roberts who inspired me, motivated me, and ultimately set me on the path to becoming a lifelong learner. From the very first day I walked into her brightly decorated classroom, Mrs. Roberts made me feel welcome, valued, and excited to learn. She had this magical ability to make even the driest, most boring-sounding subjects fascinating through her passion, creativity, and masterful storytelling skills. Whether she was teaching us about photosynthesis by having us act out the roles of sun, water, and carbon dioxide, or making multiplying fractions feel like cracking secret codes, Mrs. Roberts always found ways to bring the material to life in vivid, engaging ways. But it wasn't just her inventive teaching methods that made Mrs. Roberts so special. She also had an incredible gift for recognizing and nurturing the unique talents and potential in each of her students. I'll never forget the day she praised a poem I had written, telling me I had a real knack for descriptive writing. From that point on, she encouraged me to keep a journal and enter writing contests. Her belief in my abilities gave me the confidence to explore creative writing, which quickly became one of my biggest passions.Mrs. Roberts also taught me invaluable lessons about determination, hard work, and resilience. Whenever I struggled with a challenging concept or difficult assignment, she refused to let me get discouraged or give up easily. Instead, she wouldpatiently reteach things in new ways until they finally clicked, reminding me that I was capable if I just persisted. Her high expectations pushed me to work harder and do better than I ever thought possible. Most importantly though, Mrs. Roberts helped instill in me a deep and lasting love of learning itself. She made every day an exciting adventure where we were explorers venturing into new intellectual territories. Thanks to her contagious enthusiasm and childlike sense of wonder about the world, I stopped seeing school as a chore and started viewing it as a magical place brimming with possibilities for discovery.Even now, years later, I still carry the lessons and values Mrs. Roberts imparted during that formative year. Her influence shaped me into the hardworking, curious, compassionate person I am today. Whenever I'm faced with a tough challenge or feel my motivation starting to lag, I hear her encouraging voice in my mind, urging me not to quit. And whenever I have the opportunity to learn something new, I leap at the chance just as Mrs. Roberts taught me - with unrestrained excitement and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.A great teacher's impact extends far past any single year or narrow set of academic skills. By instilling the right mindset, passion, and character strengths, an exceptional teacher like Mrs. Roberts can set students on a trajectory for lifelong success - constantly growing, evolving, and making the most of their inborn talents. I feel immensely grateful that I had the gift of being in her class at such a young, impressionable age. Mrs. Roberts changed my life, and I have no doubt her legacy will live on for generations to come through all the students she inspired to learn, achieve, and make the world a little bit better.篇3A Good Teacher Changes EverythingMy favorite teacher is Mrs. Smith. She teaches fourth grade at Oakwood Elementary School. Mrs. Smith has been the best teacher I've ever had, and I want to tell you all about her and how she has changed my life.Mrs. Smith makes learning fun. Instead of just lecturing us from textbooks all day, she finds creative ways to teach the lessons. Like when we were studying fractions, she brought in pizzas and had us cut them into slices to understand the concept visually. Or for spelling, we play games like Hangman and do silly chants to remember tough words. Her class is always lively and engaging. But Mrs. Smith doesn't just teach facts and figures. She also teaches really important life lessons about being a good person. She is constantly reminding us to be kind, work hard, and never give up. Whenever someone is having a hard time grasping a new idea, she is patient and keeps explaining in new ways until we get it. She praises our efforts and encourages us to keep trying our best. Mrs. Smith definitely makes me want to be a better student and human being.Another amazing thing about Mrs. Smith is how she really cares about each of her students. She takes the time to get to know us as individuals and learn about our interests, strengths and struggles. If I'm having a bad day, she can always sense it and will pull me aside to ask what's wrong with a caring,non-judgemental attitude. Mrs. Smith makes me feel valued and supported. She also has a great sense of humor and doesn't take herself too seriously, which I love. Mrs. Smith is always cracking jokes and finding ways to make us laugh, even when covering kind of boring topics. Like when we were learning about rocks and minerals, she dressed up like a geologist in a crazy outfit to make it more entertaining. Her positive energy is truly infectious.Mrs. Smith's class is my favorite part of every day. Walking through that door, I know I am in a safe space where I can express myself, take risks, and become a stronger person. She has helped me blossom as a student and individual this year. I'm reading at a much higher level, my math skills have skyrocketed, and I'm more confident in raising my hand to share ideas. I feel so lucky that I get to spend this crucial year with an educator as talented and nurturing as Mrs. Smith. Her teaching methods, compassion, and ability to connect have made such an incredible impact on me. I'll never forget the powerful life lessons about perseverance, kindness and believing in yourself that Mrs. Smith has imparted. She didn't just teach me academic subjects, but also how to be a good human. Mrs. Smith has helped shape the person I am becoming in ways that will stick with me forever. When I move on to middle school, I know there will be many more teachers ahead. But Mrs. Smith has set the bar incredibly high. She is the model of what every educator should strive to be.I can only hope that my future teachers will be half as caring, creative and impactful as the amazing Mrs. Smith. She is quite simply the best of the best, and I will be forever grateful that shewas my fourth grade teacher. Thank you, Mrs. Smith, for changing my life.篇4A Really Great TeacherMy teacher Mrs. Jones is the best teacher ever! She makes learning so much fun and helps me understand things that used to seem impossible. Before I had her class, I didn't really like school that much. But now, I look forward to going every day!Mrs. Jones has a special way of explaining things that just makes sense. When we're learning math, she uses examples and pictures to show us what the numbers really mean. Like when we were learning fractions, she brought in pizza and chocolate bars to break into pieces to help us visualize it. That made fractions finally click for me.In reading class, she does great voices for all the different characters when she reads stories aloud. She's so animated and exciting that I get totally absorbed in the book. Sometimes she even acts out the scenes with silly movements to make us laugh.I never want her to stop reading! She also makes science amazing. We do the coolest experiments every week, like making volcanos erupt with baking soda and vinegar or seeing how plants drink up colored water. I can't wait for science time on Fridays. Mrs. Jones says science is about exploring and discovering through hands-on activities, and that's exactly what we get to do.Whenever I'm struggling with something, Mrs. Jones takes the time to patiently re-explain it a different way until I get it. She never makes me feel dumb or gets frustrated. She just says, "That's okay, let's try this..." with a big smile. Having a teacher who really cares about you understanding is the best feeling.Mrs. Jones doesn't just teach us academic stuff though. She also emphasizes how important it is to be a good person - things like being kind, working hard, persevering, and believing in yourself. She leads by great example and creates an environment where we can safely make mistakes without being afraid. One of my favorite things she does is the "Celebrate Successes" circle at the end of each week. We all share accomplishments we're proud of, both at school and outside of it. It could be anything from finally mastering multiplication to scoring the winning goal in soccer. Mrs. Jones makes sure topraise each of us and point out our individual strengths. It's so motivating and boosts my confidence.I'll never forget the time she nominated me for the Superintendent's Award for showing outstanding growth mindset. I had worked so hard to improve my reading skills after struggling a lot in the beginning. When she told me I was being recognized in front of the entire school, I felt ten feet tall! Having a teacher who truly appreciates your efforts is irreplaceable. The life lessons Mrs. Jones teaches us are just as valuable as the academic ones. For example, she's always stressing the importance of trying new things and not being afraid to fail. She'll say things like, "Making mistakes is how we learn! Don't be embarrassed, just keep trying." That mind set has helped me be more willing to take risks and get out of my comfort zone. She also emphasizes how important it is to be a good friend and treat others with respect and compassion. Anytime there's a conflict between students, she has us talk it through and see the situation from both perspectives. By teaching us effective communication skills and confilict resolution, we're all learning how to get along better.Another big focus is perseverance and not giving up when things get tough. Mrs. Jones is always saying, "Winners neverquit and quitters never win!" Whenever I feel like throwing in the towel on a big project or difficult assignment, she motivates me to dig deeper and keep pushing forward. Little by little, I'm becoming more resilient.Seriously, Mrs. Jones is a real-life superhero! She seems to have endless energy, excitement, and creativity. Even after a long day of teaching, she's still smiling and full of spirit. I've heard the other teachers joke that they wish they could bottle up her enthusiasm. Her zest for life is truly infectious! Thanks to her, I now actually look forward to coming to school each day. Mrs. Jones has sparked a genuine love of learning inside me. Knowing that I have such an passionate teacher in my corner, cheering me on and believing in me, is the greatest motivation of all. It inspires me to dream big and work hard to achieve my fullest potential.I hope I'm lucky enough to have more teachers like Mrs. Jones throughout my life. She'sculptivated within me confidence, determination, and a thirst for knowledge that will last forever. In just one school year, this incredible educator has profoundly impacted who I am. I'll never be able to thank Mrs. Jones enough for being a guiding light and changing my life in such a positive way.篇5A Good Teacher's Lasting ImpactTeachers shape our lives in so many ways. What makes a good teacher
Have you ever been deeply influenced by a teacher? Does
she or he have some impressive characteristics? What makes a
good teacher? A good teacher should have both nice
personalities such as patient, caring and efficient teaching skills
such as doing activities. If you have good teachers you may
learn not only knowledge but also how to be a respected person
from them.
As is known to all, teachers are the second important
person of the students except their parents. The effect in
personality to the students may finally decide what kind of
people they will be. Therefore, good teacher should have some
specific characteristics, such as patient, encouraging and
hard-working. Mr. Wang is one of the best teachers I have met.
He is a good example who has all of the three characteristics
above. He is always patient with our studies. We can ask him
about math problems anytime. During the class, he would like to
offer help to anyone of my classmates who are not very good at

math. What he mostly cared about us is our health. He made a
rule that we must run for one kilometer every day. It’s was really
a hard work for me, but he was always beside us, encouraging
us. When most of the teachers had gone home, he was still in his
office, because he wanted to correct all of our test papers and
homework as long as the questions are still fresh to us.
But only having good characteristics isn’t enough. What
really makes a teacher popular with the students is mastering
right teaching skills. The first skill is giving proper homework
and exercises. Students are easy to be tired of endless or
repeated exercises. Besides that, a good teacher should also do
well in holding students’ attention. The more time students focus
on what they are learning, the more they can get. The last skill is
creating new class styles. My English teacher used to let us
work in groups to give presentation to the whole class. We
searched for information on the Internet, made ppt, prepared
speech. It made us interested in this activity. And we also got
experience from that.

In conclusion, it isn’t an easy thing to be a teacher, especially
a teacher liked by students. A teacher should firstly be a good
person, then she or he should master lots of skills. She or he
should know the ways to let the students learn more knowledge.
Students would like to set their as a example of perfect person.
They want to learn the teacher’s way to dealing things. So, good
characteristics and skills are the important points to make a great
teacher.
