非谓语动词：不定式、动名词和分词（to do, doing, done）

●hope, expect, intend, want, plan, promise, ask, refuse, decide, determine,

learn, prepare + to do

happen 碰巧，offer 主动提出，promise 答应，agree 同意，refuse拒绝，decide 决定，determine 决定、决心，pretend假装，fail 未能够，learn，wish希望，hope，expect，afford负担得起。

●admit, finish, appreciate, miss + -ing

admit，advise建议，risk，appreciate，envy嫉妒，avoid避免，

consider考虑，delay延迟，deny否认，dislike不喜欢，enjoy，escape逃避，excuse 原谅、宽恕，finish完成，forgive原谅，understand理解，give up放弃，imagine 想象，keep保持，mind介意、在乎，miss未达到，practise训练，put off推迟，resist抵抗，suggest建议、暗示can’t help 禁不住，can’t stand无法忍受，devote to(to 为介词)致力于···，look forward to期望、盼望，

作定语

1. 作定语的不定式如果是不及物动词，或不定式所修饰的名词或代词是不定式动作的地点、工具等，不定式后有相应的介词。例如：

① The Browns have a comfortable house to live in。

② There is nothing to worry about.但是，不定式所修饰的名词如果是time，place或way时，不定式后面的介词习惯上省去。

He had no money and no place to live (in).

2. 单个词前置：-ing+名词：表示用途

a swimming pool=a pool for swimming

a reading room=a room for reading

短语后置：后置定语相当于省略的定语从句

The girl who is sitting in the corner is adorable。

We visited a temple which was built 200 years ago.

The vegetables which are sold in this shop are grown without chemicals.

The houses which are being built are for the survivors in the quake.
