W：What are you going to major in, John?

M：Either education or medicine. My mother wants me to be a teacher or a doctor but I'd rather design houses.

M：Fine. Here is 5 pounds. I'd like to have the change in stamps.

W：Let's go to the bookstore!

M：Good. I hear they're selling a new cookbook. I want to take a look.

W：I'm not interested in a cookbook. I'm kind of falling in love with a good-looking guy in that bookstore.

M：Well, I guess you should go and take another look instead of buying books.

M：What do you think of this one?

W：It' s really not my cup of tea. Too modern and unusual.

M：But look at the colours and forms. Very imaginative.

W：Maybe. I prefer paintings about beautiful landscapes and people myself.

W：Is there anything wrong, sir?

M：There certainly is. The fish is uneatable. To start with, it's undercooked, and then it's cold, too.

W：I'm sorry about that. I'll have it changed.

M：Yes, I think so. I mean, I think they like them very much.

M：We shouldn't get up too late on Saturday morning. I'm going to walk in that wood behind our house this week.

W：I know you enjoy walking, but I heard our house manager say to watch out for the wild wolf.

M：What did he say about the wolf?

W：Someone prepared food for small animals and that attracted the wolf.

M：Are you sure it isn't a joke?

W：I don' t think it' s a joke, but I really don' t understand what he meant.

W：Want me to cover for you again?

M：Yeah. You know it's the flu. I'm down with it. My doctor strongly suggested that I go to see him tomorrow.

W：I was planning to have a lazy day. But, now that you've asked...OK, tell me everything I need to do tomorrow.

M：Please give this report to the president and finish typing these. Is that OK?

W：OK. Now it' s quitting time. Let's call it a day.

M：You go first. I'll lock the door. Jenny, I owe you one. This weekend I'd like to invite you to dinner if you are free.

W：I'm looking forward to it.
