一、教学目标

(一)教学重点:
1.学会用情态动词could表达建议;
2.正确使用有关援助的表述、短语动词以及相关表达中的动词不定式;
3.就志愿者活动这一话题分角色表演对话;

1.学会提供帮助的基本句型;
2.理解不同短语动词的含义与搭配;

四、教学过程
Step I Free talk
1.要求学生试读课本单词表中的单词和短语,帮助学生解决语音问题。

2.询问学生是否知道提供帮助和表建议的句型,在黑板上板书。

3.向学生提三个问题。

(1)Do you often help people?
(2)Tell us something about the last time you helped others.
(3)How could we help people?
StepⅡ Warming-up
1.让学生观看一个“青年志愿者之歌”的视频,看之前,抛出问题“What do volunteers do to help people in the video?”要求学生把答案写下来。

StepⅢ Listening
1.引导学生观察单元主题图中的三幅海报,读出图中公告栏所列的英文内容,学习相关生词及表述。

2.通过给出问题“How could we help people?”和若干幅图片的展示,引导学生说出表达建议或提出帮助的句子,反复朗读。

同时,也让学生知道,其实在我们的身边有很多需要帮助的人,呼吁学生们多做好人好事。

StepⅣ Pair work
1.要求学生跟读听力材料,模仿语音语调。

2.让学生结合1a活动中自己写出或摘抄的内容创编对话,对编排优秀或有创意的学生及时肯定、表扬。

StepⅤ Listening
1.让学生观察五幅插图,并引导学生尝试用动词短语表述五幅图片的含义,带读短语
2.听2a,并核对答案。

3. 在2b中,先要求学生浏览句子,了解句子的大意;其次让学生预测这些空可能缺少怎样的单词;最后给出五个短语,让学生听听力填空,核对答案。

4.让学生将动词短语极其意思进行匹配;要求学生观察短语,并总结他们的共性。

StepⅥ Group work
1.让学生们以雷锋日为话题,运用本节课所学的知识,以小组为单位,模仿2a,2b编写对话并表演出来。

2.让学生们对自己的表现及语言表达能力进行自我评价,在小组内评价,然后评出最“最佳表演组”,并鼓励学生们下一次争取做最优秀的小组及个人。

<设计意图> 学生们从小就听着雷锋乐于助人的故事长大。

经过一堂课的学习,学生已经掌握了一定的表达方式。

通过任务的设计、说明与布置,指导学生将自己的所思所想转化为语言输出。

利用对话表演的形式反馈,同时,鼓励学生勇于开口、大胆表演。

通过运用和表演,既复习新知,同时以竞争机制评出“最佳表演组”,促使学生们积极参与,让学生感受成功的愉悦,也活跃课堂。

StepⅦ Role-play
1.播放听力,让学生跟读磁带,了解对话大意。

2.让学生齐声朗读对话,纠正读音,解答学生存在的语言障碍。

3.让学生根据对话,回答问题。

4.学生结对分角色朗读对话,给予适当评价。

5.讲解语言知识点:
(1)They told me stories about the past and how things used to be.
used to do sth. 过去常常做某事;表示过去习惯性、经常性的动作或状态,暗指现在已经不存在。

used无人称和时态的变化。

e.g. I used to go to the Youth Center. But I have no time now. 我过去经常去青少年中心,但现在我没有时间了。

(2)Yeah, a lot of old people are lonely.
lonely adj. 孤独的;寂寞的指精神上感觉孤独、寂寞。

e.g. The old man feels lonely, so he raises a dog.那名老人觉得很孤独,因此他养了一只狗。

(3)We need to come up with a plan for the City Park Clean-up Day.
need 用作实义动词,有“必要”、“必需”之意,有人称、数和时态的变化,可以接名词、代词、动名词或带 to 的动词不定式作宾语。

e.g. The man needs an English dictionary when he works. 这个人在工作时需要一本英语词典。

Do you need to see him yourself? 你必需亲自见他吗?
<设计意图> 分角色朗读课文,形象生动,如亲临其境,可以把注意力吸引到课文的内容中去,领略其中的含义,更能加深印象,不容易忘记。

其次,分角色朗读对话可以调动学生的积极性,提高表达能力。

而且,还能增加课堂气氛,营造出积极、活跃的课堂气氛。
