01 Dear Mr. Headmaster,

I’m Li Hua, a student from Senior Three. I am writing to draw your attention to some improper hehavior among us students—wasting food on the school cafeteria. Some of them throw away a littler food while others waste most of them just because the food is not so delicious. As we all know , some people at home and abroad are going hungry seriously. I always feel painful and ashamed whenever I see this , It is obviously inappropriate for students to waste food .

In order to solve the problem, some measures should be taken by our school . First , all the students are made to understand that a great number of people don’t have adequate food , which may help them realize how terrible it is for them to waste food . what’s more, I wonder if our school can set up specific regulations against such behavior , I believe that the bad habit will be got rid of soon with our joint efforts.

I hope my suggestions will be useful.

02 Ladies and gentlemen,

In summary, our team has argued that the testing of spoken English is both necessary and beneficial.

Most students agree that it helps them develop the habit of reading aloud and having conversations in English which in turn improves their English level. Students come to realize that oral English is as important as reading and writing. In addition, the speaking test pushes our teachers to focus more on teaching spoken English , makes the class more interesting and encourages teachers to improve their own spoken language skills.

Nowadays, English is considered to be a global language so we can use it to communicate with people from other countries more easily, Therefore, we believe that more attention should be given to teaching and learning spoken English and this can be done by testing spoken English.

03.Good afternoon, dear friends,

We ‘ve just had a discussion about whether we should do some running to take exercise during the break in the morning.

Some of our fellow students think it great to make full use of these few minutes to refresh ourselves and above all it also helps build our sense of unity . While others think not. They believe it is important for us Senior Three students to have enough rest between classes instead of too much exercise . Otherwise, how can we keep active in class if we get tired after running?

What I have got in the discussion is that we all want to take active part in our lessons in class. So if we can spend a few minutes every day to keep fit and energetic, why not ? If you can’t make better use of it , I’m sure one day we will miss these days when we can run together and feel a member of this big family.

Something Special For parents

Not long ago , Student Union in our school advocated that Senior Three students should do something special for their parents on their18th birthday . All the students were actively in response to it and most of them have come up with their ideas. Some choose to write a letter, saying it’s the best way to express their appreciation as well as love for their dearest parents.
