一、课程定位:

《英语阅读(三)》课程是高等职业教育英语专业的一门专业基础课程,侧重于语言综合知识的运用。本课程的主要任务是是提高学生的综合阅读能力,能够读懂一定难度的英语文章,掌握一般的阅读技巧。

二、主要任务

(一)通过大量阅读,帮助学生扩大词汇量,提高阅读速度,丰富语言和文化背景知识。(二)通过阅读训练,培养学生的逻辑思维能力,提高学生的理解力以及快速、准确、有效地获取信息的能力。

(三)通过阅读不同体裁的文章,增强学生的语感,提高学生批评鉴赏能力。

三、课程目标

本课程的教学目标为:该课程为学生提供全面系统的阅读技能训练,让学生掌握略读(skimming),寻读(scanning),以及推测(drawing inference)三种阅读技巧,有效地提高阅读速度和逻辑推导能力。

(一)知识目标

1.阅读不同题材的文章,扩充与题材相关的词汇。

2.通过上下文的联系,掌握根据语境推测词义的能力。

3.进行词形变化的训练,区分易混淆词汇的意义与用法。

(二)技能目标

1.略读:以极快的速度阅读大量材料,达到每分钟120-180个单词的速度,寻找主要信息,可以略过某些部分不读,根据文章的难易程度,灵活调整阅读速度。

2.寻读:运用寻读技巧获得具体信息,以提高阅读效率。

3.推测:透过字面信息,推测文章暗含的意思,把握作者没有明说的信息。

(三)态度目标

1.扩大阅读量,丰富语言和文化背景知识。

2.增强语感,提高学生批评鉴赏能力。

3.培养学生阅读兴趣。

四、教学内容与能力要求

(一)知识点和教学要求

1.《英语泛读教程》所选语言素材题材广泛,内容涉及社会、政治、经济、文化、文学、历史、宗教、体育、医药环保、风土人情科、科普知识等各个领域。文体多样,既有记叙、说明、议论、新闻、广告,又有文学作品。通过对不同文体整篇文章的理解,分析文章的篇章结构,抛砖引玉,提高英语文章的读写作能力,同时欣赏不同文体的语言特色、提高语感。2.本教材有18个单元,每六个单元围绕一种阅读技能训练。阅读技能涉及:

略读(skimming)

寻读(scanning)

推测(drawing inference)

3.每个单元包括词汇测试、课文理解、阅读技巧训练、词汇练习)、完形填空、快速阅读、课外阅读。

(二)能力培养要求

1.略读:以极快的速度阅读大量材料,寻找主要信息。

五、实践教学环节

本课程实践教学通过课堂练习和课外练习和课外作业来完成。每两个学时中,抽出一个学时进行实用训练:包括课前讨论,课件阅读技能训练,课外阅读和完成作业,共计16个学时。

Often there is a race between the healing and the desease as to whether the tree will live or die, so that there is a period when the tree is at risk. It should be the aim of every gardener to reduce which has been pruned smooth and clean, for healing will be slowed down by roughness. You should allow the cut surface to dry for a few hurs and then paint it with one of the substances available from garden shops produced especially for this purpose. Pruning is usually without interference from the leaves and also it is very unlikely that the cuts yu make will bleed.
