《科技英语阅读》课程标准

第一部分前言

一、课程性质和任务

《科技英语阅读》是应用英语专业的一门必修课,是考查课。

其研究的主要内容是: 科技信息技术、环境保护、天文学、气象、汽车制造等16个领域,有利于学生熟悉科技词汇、开阔科普视野和思路、了解科技文体、掌握英语专业阅读阶段所需要的学习技能、语言技能和基本词汇,提高学生运用英语的能力,以满足日益增长的国际科技交流与合作的需求。

二、课程标准的设计思路

(一)课程将保证学生掌握英语科技文阅读的基本知识和方法,对新概念、新科技及人文学科知识和科技知识有一个系统的认识。

(二)教学内容要兼顾广度和深度,整体内容具有关联性、递进性、系统性、完整性,为提高学生的岗位就业适应能力打好基础;

(三)对阅读中出现的实际运用的内容,要侧重培养学生的应用能力;

(四)采用多媒体教学软件,提高教学效果。

第二部分课程目标

通过本门课程的学习,使学生具备英语专业人才所必须的基本知识和基本能力。在打好扎实的英语语言基本功和牢固掌握英语专业知识的基础上,拓宽学生的人文学科知识和科技知识,为适应当今的就业形势打下良好的基础,并注重渗透思想教育,逐步培养学生的辨证思维和创新能力。

一、知识目标

(一)掌握常用的现代科技英语专业词汇和短语。

(二)通过大量而广泛的阅读,进一步巩固掌握综合英语等课程中已学的词与词组,扩大词汇量,提高语言运用能力,增强语言运用的自然性。

(三)学会根据上下文选择词义或猜测词义,不借助工具书即能大体领会相应难度的读物的主要内容。

(四)学会抓住关键词语、主要段落和关键句,准确掌握读物的中心思想、情节梗概或主要论点,掌握推理、寻读、归纳、解释句子、决定原因和结果等能力,提高批判性阅读技能。

二、技能目标

提高科技文阅读正确率达到70%以上,进一步提高学生运用英语的能力。

第三部分内容标准

一、Unit 1 Information Technology

(1)了解信息技术领域的常用词汇

二、Unit 2 Meteorology

Passage B The Greenhouse Effect

( 1 ) 掌握关于温室效应的科技词汇。

3 大学英语四级阅读理解试题及答案(四) 十六 Trees should only be pruned when there is a good and clear reason for doing so and , fortunately,the number of such reasons is small. Pruning involves the cutting away of obergrown and unwanted branches, and the inexperienced gardener can be encouraged by the thought that more damage results from doing it unnecessarily than from leaving the tree to grow in its own way. First, pruning may be done to make sure that trees have a desired shape or size. The object may be to get a tree of the right height, and at the same time to help the growth of small side branches which will thicken its appearance or give it a special shape. Secondly, pruning may be done to make the tree healthier. You may cut diseaed or dead wood, or branches that are rubbing against each other and thus cause wounds. The health of a tree may be encouraged by removing branches that are blocking up the centre and so preventing the free movement of air. One result of pruning is that an open wound is left on the tree and this provides an easy entry for disease, but itis a wound that will heal. Often there is a race between the healing and the desease as to whether the tree will live or die, so that there is a period when the tree is at risk. It should be the aim of every gardener to reduce which has been pruned smooth and clean, for healing will be slowed down by roughness. You should allow the cut surface to dry for a few hurs and then paint it with one of the substances available from garden shops produced especially for this purpose. Pruning is usually without interference from the leaves and also it is very unlikely that the cuts yu make will bleed. 《专业英语》课程标准 1 课程基本信息 2 课程定位 本课程是三年制高职电气自动化、通信、供电专业的一门专业基础课,是为培养电子专业工程技术人员及技术工人,使学生增加英语专业术语词汇量的积累,并能借助工具书阅读相关英语专业资料的能力而开设的课程。 3 课程设计思路 (1)教师明确课程及单元教学目标,在此基础上进行综合项目(课程目标)以及单项技能训练项目(单元目标)的任务设计,创建“真实教学环境设计”。 (2)教师引导学生进行任务分析。这是一个在明确的教学任务指引下,学生主动探究摸索,独立自主寻求问题、发现问题、逐渐尝试完成任务的过程。在整个过程中,按照小组讨论——各组汇报——教师总结的模式,分三个层次进行。 4 课程目标 知识目标 ①通过电子专业英语的学习,掌握一定的专业术语,提高英语的说、读、写、译的能力,从而能更好的适应信息社会对电子专业人才的要求。 ②学生学习专业英语后,能够阅读专业方面的英语文章和杂志,能够使用英语作为其工作语言。 能力目标 ①培养专业技术应用能力,符合认知和学习的规律,注意循序渐进,增强学生自学能力。 ②为学生根据所在岗位工作实际补充专业知识和进一步学习提供便利,增强学生可持续发展的能力。 素质目标 通过听、说、读、写、译等各项技能的训练,提高语言的综合运用能力。通过个性化内容的学习,获得欣赏美、鉴赏美的能力,形成开放、包容、合作、乐观、积极的性格,具有良好的人文素养和跨文化意识。 5 教学内容与学时安排
