基于多模态框架下的牛津译林版《英语》七年级下册Unit5Amazing things 第一课时Welcome to the unit 教学课例

摘要:
本文基于目前牛津译林版《英语》第一课时Welcome to the unit 中的教学要求,运用多模态教学方法探索了该课时的教学实践。

通过多模态教学,利用听觉、视觉、语言、文字等方面的刺激和强化,来呈现课文内容。

这种方式促进了学生对于该课时学习的兴趣,提高了他们的思维品质和学习能力。

(一)教学内容分析
本课的教学内容选自牛津译林版《英语》七年级下册第5单元Amazing things 第一课时Welcome to the Unit 部分。

从单元板块的设计看来,导入板块(Welcome to the Unit )是开启本单元教学的第一步,
为单元教学提供核心词汇和目标语言,
并为本单元的其他板块设置特定的语境,引导学生迅速进入单元的学习(吕国征,2016)。

本课Welcome to the Unit 以amazing things 为话题展开,帮助学生了解到生活中的一些不寻常的现象和事件。

在中学阶段,教师要以培养学生的文化意识
和情感态度的目标为指导来解读和处理教材,
构造具有丰富文化内涵和情感渗透的课堂,从而提高学生的人文素养(庄志琳等,2013)。

(二)学情分析
本课是七年级下学期的教学内容,这一阶段的学生已经具备一定的语言知识的积累和综合语言运用的能力,他们对学习内容涉及的一些生活中的不寻常事实有一定的浅显了解,但是如何运用一些表示感叹和评价的词汇句型来表达自己的感受和见解,还是需
要进一步练习和运用。

因此,
笔者通过多模态教学,利用听觉、视觉、语言、文字等方面的刺激和强化,呈现课文内容。

(三)教学目标
基于对教学内容和学生情况的分析,本课预设了以下教学目标:
1.知识目标:
听懂、会说、会读单词及词组same,birth,earth,back,fat,fact,the same size,from birth,stop doing sth,in the back of 以及相关的日常用语。

2.能力目标:
通过多感官的情景创设,让学生学会表达令人惊奇事实的词汇、
词组和相关的用语。

能用形容词及感叹句来表达自己的感受和意见。

3.情感、
态度、价值观的目标:培养学生与人交流的能力。

倡导学生培养多阅读、多交流以增加见闻、开拓视野的良好学习习惯。

本课的教学重点和难点为:
掌握描述令人惊奇的事实的词汇和重点句型;用形容词及感叹句来表达自己的感受和见解。

(四)教学设计思路备课思维过程
本课时的课型为听说课,目的是为导入单元的话题,从而为后面对学生进行听、
说、读、写等综合语言运用能力的训练做好铺垫。

本节课的教学主线如下:首先教师呈现与本话题相关的图片,引出与本话题相关的词汇和短语,为后面的对话创作部分搭好语言的支架。

然后教师将话题引入到Eddie 和Hobo 的对话。

通过观看漫画视频,增强学生听说兴趣,接着让学生脱书表演,调动学生多感官刺激,强化训练学生的听说能力。

之后,笔者设计了一个问题抢答环节,将课堂气氛带入
高潮。

接下来,学生通过听对话回答问题,
以及小组操练该、内化目标语言,
加深对Amazing things 这一话题的认识和理解。

教师继续鼓励学生运用重点短语自编对话,用感叹句表达自己的感受和见解。

二、教学过程(一)Step 1:Warming-up &Lead-in 教师展示出4幅图片,然后在每个图片后提出问题:为什么这几幅图看起来很不可思议?学生在观察这些图片后,回答该图片令人惊奇的原因。

通过展示四组不同寻常的照片,利用视觉刺激,吸引学生的注意力,让学生对本节课的学习内容有初

步了解,为后续的教学环节作铺垫。

(二)Step2:Presentation
1.教师请学生观看漫画视频,回答问题:(1)Do Ed-die and Hobo see a UFO?(2)What do they see actually? [设计意图]
通过观看漫画视频,利用声觉和视觉的刺激效果增强学生学习的兴趣、好奇心和探索欲望,让学生进一步了解所学内容。

2.教师请学生朗读该段对话,并进行脱书表演。

[设计意图]
本节课本质上是一节听说表演课,充分利用语言、表情、肢体动作、道具等多种媒介,调动学生的多种感官刺激,达到能听懂会运用的意图。

3.教师请同学根据漫画内容,完成一篇文章的首字母填空。

[设计意图]
这篇基于首字母填空的阅读理解有利于学生对漫画对话部分的结构整合和内容梳理。

而且,强化训练学生各种形式的阅读对于学生阅读理解水平的提高有着十分重要的意义。

(三)Step3:Practice
1.请学生完成八道关于世界上有趣事实的竞赛抢答题,在抢答的过程中学习该节课的部分重点词组和表达句型。

[设计意图]
此环节利用视觉刺激,旨在进一步增强学生的好奇心和回答欲望。

竞赛的紧张氛围让学生对于将要回答的内容更加关注,这种学习的主动性有助于推动教学进程,提高教学效果。

2.请学生完成书上图片和文字的配对连线。

[设计意图]
此环节利用图片文字,帮助学生更好地理解这四个较为复杂的关于有趣事实的句子,降低学生的阅读焦虑感,为顺利掌握这些重点词组和句型做好准备。

(四)Step4:Production
1.教师请学生先浏览两个问题,引导学生通过浏览题目猜测听力内容。

由此,学生习得本节课的一个很重要的听力策略——
—预测,然后播放对话录音。

[设计意图]
此环节通过预测利用声音刺激,激发学生的听力欲望,使学生对对话内容形成初步期待。

2.请学生分角色朗读对话内容,然后根据课件上的范例,运用前一环节所学的有趣事实,完成并表演自己的对话。

[设计意图]
此环节提供的图片以及句型结构可以激活学生脑海中的已有图式,有助于学生运用重点词组句型来表达自己的观点和意见。

(五)Step5:Conclusion
教师引导学生回顾本节课中出现的各种有趣的事实,并给出图片以及结束语:The world is full of a-mazing things,and let′s find them with our mind open. [设计意图]
本环节通过图片、声音的强化,帮助学生对这节课的内容有更加深入的理解,对这部分的主旨有着更高层次的感悟。

(六)Step6:Homework
在学生完成教学内容后,为夯实语言基础,拓展提高学生对讨论不可思议的事实的语用能力,教师给学生布置了以下家庭作业:Write an E-mail to your friends about amazing things.
[设计意图]
通过课外阅读和搜索信息,让学生更多地了解世界上一些不可思议的事实,从而培养学生阅读的兴趣和习惯,鼓励学生开阔视野,拓展知识面。

第二项作业的目的就是让学生掌握本节课的重点短语及表达用法,在理解的基础上学会运用。

三、教学反思
授课教师通过反思,认为本节课有以下特点:
(一)多模态框架下的英语教学提高了学生学习兴趣
英语课堂上使用的教学音频和视频更能加深学生对英语文化的理解,刺激学生的感官,增加学生的学习兴趣(杨剑英,2014)。

在本课例中,笔者通过多模态教学的方法,利用听觉、视觉、语言、文字等方面的刺激与强化,呈现教学内容。

这种教学方式的目的在于充分利用各种教学资源,真正做到提高学生的学习效率。

(二)教学活动的目标指向性明确
教学环节和教学活动的设计和实施都应该围绕教学目标进行。

有效的教学设计取决于教师对文本解读的水平,它直接影响学生的学习体验、认知过程、情感发展和学习成效(王蔷,2015)。

本节课中,教师无论是在导入环节、讲授环节,还是练习巩固环节中,都是围绕目标展开。
