Should Humility Be Abandoned in Today"s Society?
Many a people in today"s society hold that humility has lost its
glamour and virtue, and a person should be good at self-promoting and
show his or her ability to the full extent, thus, humility can be
casted away. Whereas, in my mind, humility can never be abandoned,
though self-promotion is very important for a person to grasp an
opportunity.
Indeed, sometimes, self-promotion is necessary and important; it"s
beneficial for us to master some skills. More importantly, humility
should still be one part of our characteristics, which would make us
special and different.
On the one hand, humble people are all wise. They know clearly who
they are, and what they have and have not. They do not exaggerate
their abilities and potencies, so they won"t feel much pressure on

from which they can build up more confidence. They work in a positive
cycle, which help them realize their ambitions and self-worth in a
relaxed and easy way.
On the other hand, humble people can make more friends and have a
relatively good relationship with others. Because they have no

will not feel being pressed and free from pressure.
In short, humility remains an important aspect of our splendid
