一:教学背景

4:课前准备:a:教师准备:西方国家庆祝父亲节和母亲节情景的相关图片。b:学生准备:预习本节课的生词、短语、句型、课文。上网查阅西方国家的孩子在父亲节、母情节如何向自己的孩子表达爱与感激之情。

二:教学课题:冀教版八年级英语下unit6:connect 《lesson46 Mothers and Fathers Are special》

三:教材分析:本套教材既贴近学生生活又展现中西方国家的不同背景。本单元在学习语言知识的同时,要求学生用英语在父亲节母亲节会用本节课的生词,向自己的父母表达爱和感激之情。在学习西方国家庆祝父亲节,母亲节会用本节课的生词﹑短语﹑句型。如:alive ﹑whatever ﹑since ﹑care ﹑candy﹑take care of等。培养学生的爱心和感激父母之心。

1 :教学目标

A.学习西方的文化.

B.找出中西方文化的差异.

2:教学重点: a:会用英语表达对父母的感激之情。

b:掌握新词alive living whatever since 的用法。

3:教学难点: 会用英语表达对父母的感激之情

4:教学方法:以学生为主体分别用讲授法讨论法小组合作法及个别展示等再结合利用PPT激发学生的兴趣。

四:教学过程:

Step1. Let the students talk about the following question:

1. Remind the festivals in China. What are their meanings?

2. Talk about the festivals in western countries. What are their meanings?

Step2. Talk about Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

1. What do the students know about them?

2. What do people do on that day?

3. Do people in China celebrate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day?

Step3. Listen to the tape and answer the following questions:

1. What day is Mother’s Day?

2. How do people celebrate it?

3. When was the first Mother’s Day?

4. Do other countries have Mother’s Day?

5. Is there Father’s Day?

6. How did Father’s D ay start?

Step4. Read the text and check the answers. Then read it loudly in class.

Step5. Play the tape for several times. Let the students imitate after it until they can read it fluently and correctly.

Step6. Talk about the details of the text. Such as questions like this:

1. Where did Mother’s Day start?

2. Who started Mother’s Day?

3. What’s its meaning?

4. Where did Father’s Day start?

5. W hat people do on Father’s Day?

Step7Talk about the following quesous in groups

区别:

alive只用作表语(只放在be动词后);

living既可用作表语也可用作前置定语。

eg.

The caught fish is alive/living.

被抓到的鱼还是活的。

2. whatever 关系代词

无论什么,不管什么

eg. Whatever I do, I do it for you.

无论我做什么,都是为了你。

注意:whatever = no matter what

3. hero heroes (特殊复数形式)

以o结尾的单词只有hero, negro(黑人), tomato,

potato这4个名词复数要加es, 别的都加s. (2人2

4. since “自……以来/以后”

注意:有since的句中,主句用完成时,从句用一般
