Meg
I love Meg for her being glad to impoverish for love, not enticed by the money. Meg is eager in a rich life, as she said she was “fond of luxury”, but she is hardworking and voluntary to work as nursery governess and earns small salary to release the family burden.

The Necessity of Work
I discover the novel demonstrates the importance of the work ethic, which dictates that it is holy to do work. Between lines, the author ultimately recommends work not as a means to a material end, but rather as a means to the expression of inner goodness and creativity.

Louisa May Alcott
