总裁卡莱尔来到多伦斯湖准备结束自己年轻的生命。
当他快沉到湖
底时，已被医生下了“死亡判决书”的老朋友比尔的话突然响彻耳畔：“不！你仍然活着，至少还拥有生命，你没有权利轻易放弃生命命。
”比尔几乎用尽生命的全部力量发出的叫喊拯救了卡莱尔。

到公司，重新点燃了生命的激情，一切从头开始，像骄傲的雄鹰搏
击于金融风暴的长空。

简单，却困扰人类几千年的问题。
有的人活着是为了物质的享受，
有的人则更看重生命本封的美好：有的人追求名誉地位，有的人则
寻求生命更深广的意义……
③我们为什么活着？活着就是对生命保持一种敬畏和尊重，珍惜生命。
正如比尔所说，只要我们仍然在人世间活着，只要我们还拥有
生命，就得对生命负责，就得对生命本身保持一种敬畏和尊重，谁
也没有权利轻易地结束生命，哪怕这生命属于你自己。
同时，活着

因此，我们活着，就要点燃生命的激情，调动心灵的力量，激发人生的智慧，尽其所能，做些对自己对他人有积极意义的事。
正如西方一位哲人说：“假如人仅仅为活着本身而活着，那就是
纯粹的动物需求。
