Hello , everyone, I’m very pleased to present my lesson plan at here, I am Bai Zhiju from Jiu jian fang Primary School Lantian. Today, I am going to talk about PEP Primary English Book 1, Unit 4 Part A. This is the firstperiod of Part A.
I will present the lesson from 9 parts: analysis of the teaching material, analysis of the students, teaching aims, key points and difficult points, teaching aids, learning methods, teaching procedure, In this part, I will also say something about homework and board design.
一、Analysis of teaching material
There are three major parts in this unit, including Part A, Part B and Part C. Obviously, it is impossible to finish this unit in one lesson hour, so I divided this unit into six lessons hours, and each part takes two lessons hours. And what I am going to talk about is the first lesson. The first lesson includes two small parts: Let’s talk.
二、Analysis of the students
There are 43 students in my class, most of them are interested in English. They like to speak English very much..
三、Teaching aims in this lesson
Knowledge aims:
1. By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
(1) Say in English the names of animals.
(2) Use the sentences of “What’s this?”“It’s a …” to ask and answer.
Ability aim:
Develop the students’ interests in studying English by helping them speak English as much as possible.
Emotion aim

五、Teaching aids
1. Prepare some pictures of animals..

六、Teaching Methods and studying methods
Situational Teaching Method
During the teaching procedure, I make several situational conversations for the students. For example, I choose two students come to the front and one takes out a picture from a small box and asks “What’s this?” , the other one answers “It’s a …”. By doing this game, the students can have chances to practice their oral English and join into the teaching procedure.
Group Study Method
I divide the class into four groups and each group has its own name. Group study plays a very important role in my lesson. By doing this, the students can study English in competitive cooperation.
七、Teaching procedures
（1）Listen to the song of “Old Macdonald had a farm”.
Step2 Presentation
(1)Lead in
Use a picture of a duck lead in the key sentences: “What’s this?”“I t’s a duck”.
(2)I teach the key sentences with the help of pictures.
(3)Students read Let’s talk follow the video.
(4)Students look at the pictures and describe the animals .
Step 3: Practice
(1) Act out Let’s talk.
(2)I play the video without voice, students read the sentence for the video.
(3)Play a game.
Two students come to the front of the classroom, one student takes out a picture of animal from a small box and asks “What’s this?”the other one answers “It’s a…. ”The teacher demonstrates first.
Step4: Production
(1)Students draw one kind of animal on the paper and write one sentence to describe this animal.
