通过本课的学习，学生将进一步巩固对how many的使用以及进行对there be 句型的简单操练。

1. 课前准备：调试光盘与课件、给学生分组、为学生布置预习作业等；2. 教具学具：光盘、大卡片等。
Step1. Warm-up1. 展示前一模块所学的句子，请学生说出句子。
教师指着单元插图问学生：how many animals can you see? 学生或许还不能回答问题由此导入活动一。
2. 教师告诉学生今天我们要观察图片，用there be句型熟悉图片内容。
开始之前，我们先学习课文，看看如何使用这一句型。

there后面要+is或者are，is后面跟着单数，ar e后面跟着复数。

类似的方式，老师询问学生How many elephants are there under the tree?老师在过程中，指出under是在什么下面的意思。

教学过程：一、创设情境，精彩导入1、Greetings.2、Have a free talk.T: How many snakes?Ss: One..T: Oh ,there is one.二、利用资源，学习新知1、教师拿图片，让学生说单词说句子，不会的可用汉语表达，比如（policeman、desk），有一只猫，有一张桌子等。
