Starter Unit 1 Good morning!单元要览本单元的中心话题是“朋友碰面”，通过朋友见面打招呼这一情景介绍问好用语；另外要学习A—H这几个字母的大小写，练习并掌握这几个字母的基本笔顺、占格、音素等。
通过本单元的教学，可以帮助学生学会早晨、中午、晚上见面与朋友打招呼的基本用语，了解中西方见面问候的差异。

Unit 3 What does he look like?Section A (Period 1) 说课稿密山三中张健一、教材的地位及作用本课是新目标英语七年级第三单元的一部分，教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开，让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及着装特点。
本课的教学内容与学生的生活实际密切相关，易于引发学生运用简单英语进行交际和交流，学生能通过交换对不同人物的描述及看法。
促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流，培养学生正确的审美观。
二、学情分析我授课的对象是七年级的学生，这些学生的优点是思维敏捷，有好奇心，对于感兴趣的事物接受比较快；缺点是对语言素材的掌握不够系统，词汇量匮乏，动笔能力弱。
针对这一情况，我在教学中对教材进行了适当的扩展，也特别注意了对知识本身的落实。
三、教学目标初中英语课程标准明确提出，基础教育阶段英语课程的总体目标是培养学生的综合语言运用能力，而这种能力的形成是建立在学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识等素养整体发展的基础上的，基于以上原则，我为本节课制定了如下的教学目标：1、知识与能力方面掌握描述人的外貌特征的词汇描述人的外貌，运用下列句型进行交际交流What does he / she look like?He / She is tall / short ……He / She has straight / curly / long / short hair.He / She is of medium build / medium height ……能抓住人物的主要特征来描述人物的外貌，并根据描述画出人像。
能概括人物的外貌特征并根据人物特征推理出某个人物。
2、过程与方法在教师的组织和引导下，学生以自主、探究、合作学习的方式，适当利用多媒体技术，达到提高听、说、读、写、自主学习能力的5个目标。
3、情感态度与价值观通过描述同学、教师或自己的偶像的外表，表达自己的看法，使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人，学会交换不同的看法，了解他人的爱好，改正“以貌取人”的错误倾向。
