学情分析
学生对自己的生日话题均感兴趣,该主题容易展开,学生互相之间谈论起来,能够做到循序渐进,起到寓教于乐的教学效果。

教材分析
本单元是人教版(新目标)七年级上册第八单元的讲练课。

本课围绕When is your birthday?展开话题,讨论每位学生及其周围人的生日及如何表达,内容涉及有12个月份的生词、序数词1st-31st 及简单的明信片写法。

词汇量大、跨度大、难度也较大。

如何使学生用这些难读、难记、又单调的词汇进行交流与交际,将是本课时的一大挑战。

利用多媒体,采用任务型教学法,通过游戏、竞赛等形式,充分调动学生的积极性,让学生自主掌握教学目标。

4.how old意为“多大年纪,几岁”,用来询问年龄。

其句型结构为“How old + be+主语?”,表示“……几岁/多大了?”,答语的常用句型为“主语+be+基数词+year(s)/ month(s) old.”,也可以直接说年龄。

例句:—How old is Jack?杰克多大了?—He is 11/11 years old.他11 岁。

拓展:询问年龄还可用句型:What's sb.'s age?例句:How old is your son? = What's your son's age? 你儿子多大了?集体备课教案2.构成:(1)变异类:one→first第一two→second第二three→third第三(2)普通类:第四至第十九均在相应的基数词后加-th,但第五(fifth)和第十二(twelfth)均把基数词five和twelve词尾的ve改为f,再加-th。

基数词eight 的序数词,直接在后加-h,即eighth。

基数词nine的序数词,将词尾的e去掉,再加-th,即ninth。
