材料一：越剧有“第二国剧”之称，又被称为是“流传最广的地方剧种”，在国外被称为“中国歌剧”。

越剧发源于浙江嵊州，发祥于上海，繁荣于全国，流传于世界，在发展中汲取了昆曲、话剧、绍剧等特色剧种之大成，经历了由男子越剧到以女子越剧为主的历史性演变。

越剧长于抒情，以唱为主，声音优美动听，表演真切动人，唯美典雅，极具江南灵秀之气；多以“才子佳人”题材为主，艺术流派纷呈，公认的就有十三大流派之多，鼎盛时期除西藏、广东、广西等少数省、自治区外，全国都有专业剧团存在。

自1906年诞生至20世纪末，据不完全统计，越剧上演剧目有6千余个，虽其中杂一剧多名的情况，但演出剧目仍非常可观。

一个奇怪的现象是，现在的一大批保留剧作大部分是上世纪五六十年代创作的，而鲜有90年代以后新题材的。

这么多年，越剧的配乐也有很大变化。

现在乐队变得复杂，庞大，甚至引入交响乐。

相比之下以前的配乐简单朴实很多。

规模不大的几个人组成的乐队跟着演员的演唱，适时地拉琴敲板，看起来朴素，却配合得十分恰当自然，既有利于演员感情的表达，也有利于演员功力的展示。

现在的配乐越来越复杂，却总显得华而不实。

这种变化，或许是因为当代演员唱腔的个人特色与功力不足以吸引观众，因此需要引进这么庞大的乐队来增加吸引力吧。

伴随着配乐的改变，表达语言上也越来越国语化，丧失了越剧该有的韵味。

现在的越剧较之前变软变柔。

老辈们的风格每个人都非常鲜明，没有一个缺少风骨。

除吕瑞娟老师偶有压着嗓子的唱法，其他人的声腔都打得很开，完全不压抑。

现在越剧的共同特征是声音很软，喜欢压着嗓子地唱越剧，不让声音与感情充分表达出来，故意唱得又软又柔。

戏曲的特点就是通过唱来表达感情，洞房花烛、金榜题名，跟穷困落难时唱得一个味，如何能打动观众？现在的越剧总以悲情为主，演员们善于悲伤啼哭，却不善于表现轻松与喜悦。

动不动唱得哀哭啼啼，好像越剧的精华就是哭。

在热衷啼哭的同时，还喜欢用浮夸的的动作来演绎。

老辈演员的戏却没有一场是刻意悲伤的，不但不悲伤，反而非常注重观众的愉悦感。

对观众来说看老辈演员的戏，不是看她的情节和舞台动作的幅度，而是看她的细节上的情感表达，同时听她优美的唱腔。
