而位于日界线东侧的西萨摩亚则是世界上最迟开始新的一天的地方。
这是个世界性的节日,欢度元旦可说是世界各国各地区的普遍习俗。
新年之际,人们一般都互赠贺卡,上面写着Best Wishes for a Happy New Year!之类的贺词。
人们见面就说:Happy New Year!或Happy New Year to you!对此我们用Happy New Year. The same to you. 或And you too.作为回答。
但对祝贺生日的Happy birthday to you!我们的回答则是:Thank you. 农历新年(春节Spring Festival)一般只是中国人和在海外的中国人才庆祝的节日。
2. 句子We are singing. We are dancing.用的是现在进行时态,singing 和dancing分别是sing和dance的现在分词形式,dance是以不发音的e结尾,必须去掉e加ing。
学生只要会说这两个句子即可,暂时不必给他们讲解语法现象。
3. The New Year is coming.意为“新年快到了。
”从句子的形式上看也是现在进行时态,但实际上表达的是将来的意思。
具有相似用法的动词还有go和come. 这里不必给学生讲解语法现象,他们懂得句意就好了。
4. Good idea.意思是“好主意。
”我们还可以完整地说That’s a good idea.5. Let’s….(让咱们……)这是一个祈使句型,Let’s为Let us的缩写,后面直接加原型动词。
本课语言表达的功能就是让学生学会如何用这个句型提出建议。
