黄金圈为冰岛游的精华所在，由三大旅游景点组成，即议会旧址(辛格韦德利国家公园)、间歇喷泉和黄金瀑布，各具特色，别 具魅力。议会旧址其实是一处公园位于一个又长又宽的断层旁边，这个断层正巧是欧亚板块和美洲板块的交界处，两大板块 的落差有10多米，并且仍以年均2厘米的速度在继续分离。黄金瀑布气势宏大，景色壮观，湍急的水流顺势而下，落差达50 多米，发出震耳欲聋的轰鸣。阳光下，在蒸腾的水雾中，布满闪着金光的点点水滴，亮艳的彩虹若隐若现，仿佛整个瀑布是 用黄金造就。盖锡尔间歇喷泉到处冒出灼热的泉水，热气弥漫，如烟如雾，为世界最著名的间歇泉之一。
