Education is the knowledge of putting one’s potentials to maximum use. One can safely say that a human being is not in the proper sense until he is educated. Education is vital to the development of an individual. It can tell man how to think and how to make a decision. Only through the attainment of education, man is enabled to receive information from the external world, to acquaint with past history and receive all necessary information regarding the present. So, the training of a human mind is not complete without education. Without education, man is as though as in a closed room but with education he will find himself in a room with all its windows open towards outside world. Besides, education is one of the most important elements for man’s success because education can bring man knowledge that helps him to succeed. Education also plays a very important role in a nation’s prosperity. Any development in science and technology throughout the world is due to the development of education that brings up scientists and inventors. There is no doubt that countries with undeveloped education will remain poor. Education is the starting point of every human activity. So we should place great emphasis on education, with which man can know much more about the world and the human being so that man can make the world more beautiful and himself more successful.

What’s a sign or a warning?
Signs and warnings are often posted in public places to inform people of some information. Since people in public places don‟t have enough time to read signs and warnings carefully, so they should be written especially concise, simple and accurate. The writer needs to write as few words as he can to convey the same meaning. 标识语是张贴在公共地方，用来提示公众目的地所在 方向或提出请求等。 标识语是一种社会公共语言，是社会 用语的重要组成部分，对社会行为起着提示、指令、参照 、限制的作用，以进行规范和管理。
English signs and warnings are popular in our daily life and they have been involved in every aspect of our lives and every corner of social life. Different types of signs and warnings can regulate peoples‟ activities of social behavior and adjust the activities of interpersonal relationships.

With the frequent communication between China and foreign countries, more and more foreigners come to China. The English public signs have sprung up all over the public places such as bus stations, parks, campus, scenic spots, but the translation of English public signs is not satisfying and there are many mistakes such as false translation, careless translation, rigid translation and even spelling mistakes(错译、乱译、死译、拼写错误现象), which lead to wrong understanding. watch the clip
