大概记得结构是：The scientists round up as many as 10000 animals that were set free by the own of the animal presevre, returning-----(伴随状语)楼主选的就是这个结构，但是很别扭，因为发觉returning是伴随状语，前面的句子结构应该是：animals were set free， returning而不是狗主选的这个。
