从教材的整体来看,本单元讨论的话题是上学期内容的延伸和拓展。
本单元与三年级教材在知识编排上紧密衔接,起到了承上启下的作用。
从内容上主要是围绕“我的教室”以及“教室中的活动”这两个话题展开的。
单元内容分为A、B、C 三部分。
学生通过学习能够听懂、会说、会认读并拼写单词:window,desk,chair,floor,wall,door。
能够认读单词:classroom,blackboard ,light ,picture ,teacher ,computer,fan,能够按照图片提示,按要求写句子:Where is the...? It’s in/on/under/near the. .. 这部分内容的学习也对之前学过的介词和颜色类单词进行了进一步训练。
了解字母a 在开闭音节单词中的发音规律,并能够根据发音规律听音写出相应的单词。

单元C 部分是拓展了解部分,它以英文小故事的形式将A、B 两部分的内容巧妙地联系起来,通过阅读使学生的英语素养在语言技能、语言知识、情感态度,学习策略和文化意识等方面得到整体发展和提升提高学生的阅读能力,通过对故事情节中幽默环节的体会,感受语言文化的魅力。
本单元的教学重点是学习教室中出现的基本设施名称,并能够利用曾经学过的介词对其位置加以介绍和解说。
本单元的教学难点是认识和使用let 引导的祈使句。
这个单元的话题是与学生日常学习生活紧密相关的,教师在设计本单元教学活动的时侯可以充分利用教室中的各种实物及场景,创设灵活多样的教学活动,突出教学重点、突破教学难点,让学生易学易接受。
学生对贴近生活的内容非常感兴趣,舍积极主动地参与其中。
