Teaching steps:
1. Warning-up and revision (课堂热身和复习)
(1)Daily greeting to the students（日常问候）
(2)Revision: Revise the numbers by playing the game, I say
“one”, you say “first”.
2. Self Check.
(1) Complete the chart with the correct forms of the numbers.
(2) Write the dates for these holidays in China. Learn the new
words “holiday, national”.
3.Studying 2b.
1)C ommunicate about “Before-class’s preview task”
Let groups point each other’s mistake and correct them.
2) Lead into 2b by two questions:
a. Does your school have activities every year?
b. What activities does your school have?
3) Let Ss read the whole passage by themselves and point out the words they can’t read, write them on the blackboard and teach them again.
4) Let Ss read the whole passage again and realize the main idea.
5) Play recording to the students ask them listen carefully and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
6) let every groups read together and ask two groups to read for the whole class.
7) Ask students to explain the detail information and analyze them.
8) Present the key language points on the board.

4.Discussion
(1) Work on 2c. Discuss the questions in 2c in pairs. Ask some
pairs to ask and answer before class.

(3) Work on 3b. Ask the Ss to write their own note to a friend.
Ask some of the Ss to write the notes on the Bb. Then discuss their notes with the whole class. Get the Ss to correct any mistake in their writings.
