形容词作表语形容词常用在be动词和连系动词(become、get、sound、look、taste、turn、stay、remain、go等)后面作表语。

1. —Have you heard the song Stay Here Forever? —Yes, it sounds ______.A. wellB. loudlyC. sweetD. beautifully2. —Is your headache getting ______? —No, it’s getting worse.A. betterB. badC. lessD. well2.

在例题②中后半句“so why not try to study abroad?”

1. Some of the tired students keep their eyes ______ in breaks.A. openedB. closeC. closedD. open2. —Tom, don’t throw the rubbish on the floor. We should keep the classroom______. —Oh, sorry, Miss Yang.A. cleanB. quietC. dirtyD. quietly3.

Passage 1Passage 2When we think about our daily habits and how 56 affect the environment, we focus on how much water and electricity we use, or if we choose to ride a bike or take a taxi. But even the smallest things can have a huge impact on our planet.Take plastic straws (吸管) 57 an example. We often use them when enjoying a cold drink with our lunch or dinner, 58 according to Litterati, an app that maps trash, plastic straws are the sixth most common form of litter in the world. “Every day, Americans throw away 500 million plastic straws, 59 are enough to circle the Earth twice,” CNN reported. The plastic straws can’t be recycled. And even worse, it takes up to 200 years for each one to 60 down.To deal with the problem, a lawmaker in California, US, 61 (introduce) a bill late last month to reduce plastic straw use. Soon, a waiter in California who gives a customer a plastic straw without 62 (request) will be breaking the law. The penalty(惩罚) will be up to six months in jail, 63 $1,000 fine or a combination of both, USA Today reported.“We need to create 64 (aware) around the issue of plastic straws and their effects 65 our waterways and oceans, ” Ian Calderon, who introduced the bill, said in a statement.Passage 3There was a man who had four sons. He hoped his sons could learn not to judge thingstoo quickly. The last son disagreed 63 all or them, saying it was filled with fruits, full oflife and content. The man told his four sons that they were all correct, but they only saw the tree in64 season, He taught them that the value of a person could only be measure when allthe seasons were over.If you give up in winter, you 65_(miss) the hope of spring, the beauty of summer, and the harvest of autumn in your life.Passage 4The first bicycle appeared in France in the 1790s. It was 56 little wooden horse with a fixed front wheel. Because the wheel was fixed, it could not be turned right or left. The only way it could be controlled was by the rider 57 (push)against the ground with his or her feet. In 1817, a German replaced the fixed front wheel with one 58 could be turned. Now the wooden horse could be directed right or left. The rider still needed to push it with his or her feet on the ground. In 1839, a Scot 59 (name ) MacMillan designed the first bicycle一like machine with foot board and rode it for 40 miles in only 5 hours. The bicycle got more 60 (comfort)in 1869 when rubber tires were introduced. Around the same time, the front wheels began to grow larger while the back wheels got smaller. During the 1880s, 61 (bicycle)enjoyed a sudden 62 (grow) in popularity. However, they weren’t very safe. Sitting high up towards the front of the bicycle and traveling very fast, the rider could be 63 (easy) thrown over the front wheel if the bicycle hit a small stone.
