1. 检索字段 ★ “全文”字段是真正的在文献全文正文中检索，而非“维普”等库的全部注入 字段； ★ “主题”字段是在中英文篇名、中英文关键词、机标关键词、中英文摘要中检 索。 2. 匹配 ★ 精确：检索结果中包含与检索词完全相同的词语； ★ 模糊：检索结果包含检索词或检索词中的词素； 3. 逻辑 ★ 所有检索项按“并含”、“或含”、“不含”等三种逻辑关系进行组合检索； ★ “并含”、“或含”、“不含”的优先级相同，即按先后顺序进行组合； 4. 词频 ★ 指检索词在相应检索项中出现的频次。词频为空，表示至少出现1次，如果为数 字，例如3，则表示至少出现3次，以此类推； 5.跨库检索 ★跨库检索是指用户可选择多个数据库的资源进行检索，能够在同一个检索界面下 完成对各类型数据库的统一跨库检索，省却了原来需要在不同的数据库中逐一检索的 麻烦。

《UMI博硕士论文》数据库（PQDD）使用指南一、数据库简介：
PQDD（ProQuest Digital Dissertations）是美国ProQuest公司出版的博硕士论文数据库。
它收录了欧美国家1000余所大学的150多万篇学位论文，是世界上最广泛使用的学位论文数据库。
内容涉及理工和人文社科等广泛领域。
其特点是：收录年代长，更新快，1997年以来的部分论文不但能看到文摘索引信息，还可以看到前24页的论文原文。
检索入口为：/dissertations/gateway
二、检索方法
进入图书馆主页，点击“数字资源”，点击“数字资源”里的PQDD数据库栏目，即可进入PQDD的主页面。
点击Enter或SEARCH进入基本检索界面，如图一。
在文本框中输入检索词，选择检索的字段和年代，点击Search开始检索。
检索完成后，首先显示检索结果列表（图三），还可通过BROSE进行学科浏览（图二）。
如果对检索结果不满意，可以修改检索策略。
在检索结果列表中，要查看其详细信息，可点击Citation+Abstract，还可以点击24 Page Preview查看此论文的前24页的内容。
在每条记录的前面都有标记框，你可以对感兴趣的论文在标记框中做上标记，再点击Marked List查看已标记的记录，并可以对已标记的记录
进行打印、下载和E-mail。

对15种国际数据库的介绍之（一）国际数据库之一：SCISCI ，即《科学引文索引》，是自然科学领域基础理论学科方面的重要期刊引文索引*数据库。
它创建于1961 年，创始人为美国科学情报研究所所长Eugene Garfield(1925.9.15).利用它，可以检索数学、物理学、化学、天文学、生物学、医学、农业科学以及计算机科学、材料科学等学科方面自1945 年以来重要的学术成果信息；SCI 还被国内外学术界当做制定学科发展规划和进行学术排名的重要依据。
SCI 最初通过书本式发行，后来随着科技的进步发行CD-ROM光盘版，并且提供所收录文献的作者摘要，更可以利用其特有的Related Records (相关记录)和Key Words Plus 检索更多的信息资料。
