UNIT 2 My Days of the Week 第二课时一、教学目标与要求1．能听懂、会说：What day is it today? It's .... What do you have on ... ? We have .... I like .... 并能在情景中熟练运用。
2．了解西方国家一些没有固定日期的节日，如母亲节、父亲节、感恩节等。
这些节日都是在某个月的星期几，日期不固定，每年会有变化。
教师介绍一些相关的文化背景知识。
二、教学重、难点分析1．本课时需要重点掌握句型：What day is it today? It's .... What do you have on Wednesdays? We have English, science, computer and P．E．I like Wednesdays．要求学生能替换关键词造新句并在实际情景中自如运用。
2．本课时的难点是Let's try部分，内容多，易混淆，要求教师多放录音，正确引导，最终使学生能找到正确选项。

源自Tiw’s day. Tiw 为北欧神话中的战神, 又叫Tyr. 传说 中有一支狼精经常出沒扰乱世界, 众神先用铁链缚住, 但狼精轻 轻一跃就逃脱了. 最后, 狼精因众神使用更精致的锁链才答应受 Ares 缚, 但提出一个条件,必须要有一个神把手伸进他的口中, 来保 证他的安全, 众神互相对 视谁都不敢吭声. 因为大家害怕狼精 的两排锐利无比的牙齿. 众神在无计可施下, Tyr 自告奋勇把手 伸进狼精口中, 狼精就这样被驯服了, 然而 Tyr 的一只手也被咬 断了.
源自 Woden’s day. Woden 是北欧诸神之父, 也是上文所提为 驯服狼精而牺牲自己一只手的 Tyr 就是他的儿子. Woden 领导 神族,跟巨人族作战, 他曾把敌军首领 Ymir 杀死,然后用他的肌 肉造地, 鲜血造海, 骨骼造山. 毛发造树, 不惜牺牲自己的右眼换 取“智慧” 的甘泉, 也深入敌军偷取美酒. 西方人为了追念这个 万神之神, 就以他的名创造了 Wednesday 这个 字.
