Nowadays, the dispute issue of the Diaoyu Islands has become another conflict between China and Japan. In order to dampen to the arrogance of Japan, many patriots have made a proposal to refuse to buy Japanese goods. However, Chinese boycotts of Japanese goods are good or not. Different people have different ideas.As we all know, China is Japan's biggest consumer. Therefore, many ignorant people think that not buying Japanese products can damage its economy so that it can knuckle down under the economic pressure. Statistics show that if all Chinese do not buy any Japanese products in two months, its economy will collapse. But in fact, it is impossible for Chinese not buying Japanese brands because Japanese products have been deep in our lives which can not completely refuse. Moreover, in the era of economic globalization, damaging any countries will affect the economic interests of ours own. So some rational people think it harms others without benefiting ourselves and people should not treat political issues and economic issues in the same attitude. But can the economy and politic really separate from each other?From another perspective, there are more and more peoplesupporting the purchase of domestic products. A lot of people believe that domestic products are cheaper than foreign goods and their technique is also advanced. On the contrary, people who are near to xenophilia (the love of anyone but us) firmly believe that the quality of foreign products is always better. Although Japan has some of the famous old brands, one after another accident like Siemens event has occurred in China which greatly has a bad influence on Chinese consumers in recent years. All in all, trust in Japanese brand is gradually reduced. Thus should we still buying Japanese products in confidence?Thirdly, there is a view that Japanese products will not only promote the economic development, but also increase the competitiveness of domestic products. Yet many people who have strong national pride, particularly in the period that the relationship between China and Japan is extreme tension, still have very strong resistance to Japanese products. More importantly, in the new high-tech products emerging era, many foreign products really promote the development of China's high-tech industries such as Huawei, Mione. It also makes more people believe that the quality of the state-owned brands can be comparable with the international brands. Consequently, could we buy domestic products instead of Japanese?As far as I’m concerned, we should be rational consumers. In the process of buying goods, if we encounter good domestic goods, we should make a decisive choice, not be xenophilia; in addition, if the Japanese products have a good reputation, high quality and technology, we should not reject them too. We should be patriots in a rational manner which can promote and maintain our market’s economy. Furthermore, as a consumer, I think only the quality and credibility of national industrial truly improve which can reach the ultimate purpose of boycott of Japanese goods.。

It is not clear, however, the scope and validityof that survey. For example, the survey could have asked residents if they prefer using the river for water sports or would like to see a hydroelectric dam built, which may have swayed residents toward river sports. The sample may not have been representative of city residents, asking only those residents who live upon the river. The survey may have been 10 pages long,with 2 questions dedicated to river sports. Unless the survey is fully representative, valid, and reliable, it can not be used to effectively back the author's argument.Additionally, the author implies that residents do not use the river for swimming, boating, and fishing, despite their professed interest, because the water is polluted and smelly. While a polluted, smelly river would likely cut down on river sports, a concrete connection between the resident's lack of river use and the river's current state is not effectively made. Though there have been complaints, we do not know if there have been numerous complaints from a wide range of people, or perhaps from one or two individuals who made numerous complaints. To strengthen his/her argument, the author would benefit from implementing a normed survey asking a wide range of residents why they do not currently use the river.Building upon the implication that residents do not use the river due to the quality of the river's water and the smell, the author suggests that a river clean up will result in increased river usage. If the river's water quality and smell result from problems which can be cleaned, this may be true. For example, if the decreased water quality and aroma is caused by pollution by factories along the river, this conceivably could be remedied. But if the quality and aroma results from the natural mineral deposits in the water or surrounding rock, this may not be true. There are some bodies of water which emit a strong smell of sulphur due to thegeography of the area. This is not something likely to be afffected by a clean-up. Consequently, a river clean up may have no impact upon river usage. Regardless of whether the river's quality is able to be improved or not, the author does not effectively show a connection between water quality and river usage.A clean, beautiful, safe river often adds to a city's property values, leads to increased tourism and revenue from those who come to take advantage of the river, and a better overall quality of life for residents. For these reasons, city government may decide to invest in improving riverside recreational facilities. Argumentation or persuasion is a logical way of essay development by which the writer tries to convince readers or other people of the soundness of a particular opinion on a controversial issue.
The issue: a assuming controversy , a problem, or an idea about which people disagree and hold different points of view.

What is the purpose of writing an argumentative or persuasive essay?
Argumentation is usually used for three purposes. One purpose is to persuade reasonable people to agree to an opinion. Another is simply to defend an opinion, to establish its validity even if others cannot be persuaded to agree. A third purpose of argumentation is to oppose some opinion you believe to be misguided, untrue, or evil, without necessarily offering an alternative of your opinion. However, the most common purpose of writing an argumentation or persuasion is to convince or persuade the readers.

What is the main difference between exposition and argumentation?
In expository essays, the writers usually just present their point of views and then explain them as clearly as possible. In other words, expository essay writing involves nothing more than presenting a point of view and providing evidence. An expository essay makes known something and explains it to make the reader understand.
The support: ideas and information intended to convince readers that the claim is sound or believed. The three common types of support are reasons, evidence and emotional appeal.
