1）能根据情境提示来描述天气或他人正在做的事情。
2) 阅读短文，提高学生们的阅读能力。

任务型教学法、合作探究教学法、分层教学法、小组活动法。
五、教学准备:
1.教师准备:教学图片、PPT课件、录音机、小组活动图表.
2.学生准备:复习好前面学的内容，预习本节课需要用到的单词、短语和句型.

Step1.Warm-up(4分钟)
1.Enjoy a song “Singing in the rain.” Then answer two questions“what is the man doing?”“ What is the
weather like?”
2.Play a guessing game.(Show some pictures to the students and ask students to guess what she/he/they
is/are doing?)
【设计意图】通过观看视频和猜谜游戏，刺激学生的视觉感官，避免了枯燥乏味的说教，激发了学
生的学习积极性，让学生在轻松好奇的氛围中复习上节课的目标语言，锻炼了学生的口头表达能力。另外,在交流过程中，也锻炼了学生的听力水平。

【设计意图】在这一环节中，我采用了分层教学，每一幅图都有两个问题，每一个问题都有相对的分值，学生可以自由选择，第二个问题相对简单，主要是为了照顾英语学习中的“弱势群体”，真正做到个个能张口，个个能表达，真正实现面向全体、人尽所能、民主和谐、活泼紧张的创新目标。

【设计意图】速读，培养学生快速捕捉信息的习惯。

【设计意图】此环节要求学生以小组合作来完成。解决文章中存在的难点问题，以此来培养学生提出问题、解决问题的能力。在教学中，教师要鼓励学生敢于提出问题，相互启发，相互学习，深化对课文的理解.采用抢答的形式，激发了学生学习英语的兴趣。
(5)Retell the passage (得10分)
【设计意图】根据上面的1）、2）的设计来复述课文，培养学生综合运用语言能力，因为采用加分制，学生情绪很高涨，尤其英语弱科的，也积极参加，调动了学生学习英语的热情。

【设计意图】从3a课文中提取六句话，让学生按课文的先后顺序排列。将学生分成四组，进行分组讨论，然后进行小组间的竞赛，看哪个组排得最快。在这里引入竞争机制激发学生主体参与意识、保持高度的注意力，从而激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

本课是第七单元话题二的第二课时。本节课的主要活动是1a和2。进一步学习并巩固情态动词can/can’t表示个人能力的功能用语并导入新词汇smart和count。本节课对学生的听力能力的训练方式较多，如听录音检测内容；听录音填写表格；听录音完成歌词。不仅训练学生听力理解能力和识辨图片的能力，而且培养学生听关键信息并速记的技能。
