CBD即中央商务区（Central Business District，简称：CBD）指一个国家或大城市里主要商业活动进行的地区。

具有最完善的交通、通信等现代化的基础设施和良好环境，有大量的公司、金融机构、企业财团在这里开展各种商务活动。
例如，悉尼设有悉尼商业中心区，香港的商业中心区位于中环和尖沙咀。
美加等地称商业中心区为“Downtown”（城市商业区；闹区），因为过去的住宅区都在山上，而商店街都在山下。
而日本和韩国称中心商务区为“都心”或“繁华街”。
CBD大多设于一个国家或地区的主要核心地区，区内有各种一流的建筑和完善的公共设施，例如甲级商业大厦、大型购物中心、政府及公共机构、康乐文娱设施等。
此外，区内的交通可达度极高，公路干线、铁路、港口、机场均设于区域周边的便利位置，市民在各区间往来极为方便。
CBD占地面积一般在3至5平方公里，有的甚至更大，其总建筑面积少则五六百万平方米，多则上千万平方米，CBD既是一个城市的功能核心，也是现代化大都市的一个重要标志，其中心地价往往远远高于CBD周边地区。
