最佳英文儿童绘本一百本名单
最佳英文儿童绘本一百本Top 100 Picture Book Poll of 2009英文绘本，是儿童学习英语过程中趣味与艺术性最佳的阅读材料。
然而在这些童书的海洋中，如何挑选绘本，时常会困扰我们。
最佳100这个流行的方法，在选绘本中也常被大家采用。
有很多机构都发布过最佳绘本100本（Top 100），但专家的推荐，有时反而不如大家的评选出来的结果值得参考。
纽约公共图书馆的一名儿童图书馆员Elizabeth Bird，2009年在她的博客上搞了一个100本最佳绘本的民意投票(Top 100 Picture Books Poll of 2009)。
下面这组书目，是通过投票选举出来的结果。
（I bring to you the results of the Top 100 Picture Book Poll of 2009.）尽管这个结果产生自2009年，但是由于这些经典绘本大都经历了很多年的考验，因此在现在看来依然可以作为父母选择绘本的参考。

读纸质的书是非常重要的。
即使在学校学习英语，也要保持在家进行英文阅读的习惯。
看英文绘本动画只能作为提高听力的一个消遣。
对于小的孩子多给他们听，培养语感。
看动画增加不了阅读能力，但可以增进听读能力。
另一方面，在英文绘本动画中，图像都以书本的画面为主，所以画面的转变速度较慢，不会太影响儿童的集中力，相对于一般的儿童动画，孩子比较容易把集中力放在聆听英语上。
儿童绘本是儿童文学的一环，它的主要阅读对像是学龄前后的幼儿。
图像是幼儿重要的阅读工具，也是绘本最重要的组成部份。
绘本的图像除了要贴近儿童的世界，也必须重视美感呈现。
好的绘本，每张图像都会说话，图与图之间呈现独特的叙事关系，儿童得以由直觉进入绘本的世界，自然流畅地听故事。
由于幼儿识字不多，不能独立阅读，所以绘本的文字，便须要大人代为关读，再说给小读者听。
也就是说，绘本的文字并不是写给小读者看的，而是让他们听的。
绘本的图像和文字必须韵含默契，像呼吸、像音乐、像双打运动员般紧密配合，方能让小读者轻松愉快地阅读。
幼儿对外在世界的认识，是从整体来掌握感觉，而非由细部思考分析的。
这种特质使小孩在情境中，很少冷眼旁观，而经常以〔飞蛾扑火〕的热情，全情投入地参与。
在与大人共读绘本时，他们不仅在听一则他人的故事，他们会与故事中的角色合而为一，亲历其境地体验这段故事。
这是幼儿喜欢重复听一个故事的原因之一。
每一次聆听，对小孩而言都是新的感受经验。
因此，大人与小孩一起阅读绘本时，不要先读文字，要让他们先看图画。
预留空间，让孩子的想象驰骋，掌握绘本的整体意境。

然而在这些童书的海洋中，如何挑选绘本，时常会困扰我们。
纽约公共图书馆的一名儿童图书馆员Elizabeth Bird，2009年在她的博客上搞了一个100本最佳绘本的民意投票(Top 100 Picture Books Poll of 2009)。
下面这组书目，是通过投票选举出来的结果。
（I bring to you the results of the Top 100 Picture Book Poll of 2009.）尽管这个结果产生自2009年，但是由于这些经典绘本大都经历了很多年的考验，因此在现在看来依然可以作为选择绘本的参考。
#1: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak(1963)国内译名《野兽出没的地方》。
（台湾译名《野兽国》）。
作者：莫瑞斯·桑达克这本书应该不用多讲了吧，很经典的一本凯迪克大奖书。
一个名叫MAX（台译阿奇）的小孩在家里淘气，被妈妈斥责后，就去了野兽国，经历了非常有趣的探险。
2009 年的4月13日，美国总统奥巴马在白宫门前的复活节采蛋活动上给孩子们读了这本书。
2009年10月，以本书故事为蓝本的同名儿童电影公映。
#2:Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown(1947)小兔子睡前和熟悉的一切道着晚安，非常温馨的具有韵律的睡前故事书。
《晚安，月亮》1945 年的一天，布朗小姐写下了《晚安月亮》的大部分最后文本，当时的题目是“GOODNIGHT ROOM”（晚安房间）。
布朗曾就学于Bank Street College's School ofEducation（银行街学院之教育学校），并受到银行街的创立者LucySpragueMitchell的影响，相信应该为儿童展示与日常生活环境一致的一个“HEREANDNOW”（此地与此时）的世界。
本书正反映了布朗小姐的“HERE AND NOW”的观点。
布朗小姐坚持要求由ClementHurd为本书创作插画。
HURD起初创作的主角是一位奶奶和一个小男孩，但最后布朗小姐和编辑NORDSTROM都坚持要求兔子形象。
HURD画兔子可以说是出神入话，能把兔子画得象天使，甚至有人说画家本人长得就象兔子。
（他们合作的《逃家小兔》也是经典之作。
）所以，最后的插画不再是人类环境，而是一种更广泛更无时空界限的范围。
HURD还听从布朗小姐和编辑的意见，修改了原图中的母牛画面，使其乳头不至招惹批评。
HURD也听从了编辑意见，用书架代替了原图中的一幅地图，因为编辑认为孩子的房间里应该有书。
本书一面世，也立即招惹了一些批评，比如有人批评它太贵（当时售价2美元一本），并建议减价到1块钱以扩大销量。
当然，该书并没有减价，而且在它出版后的最初20年，也一直默默无闻，直到70年代，它才得到广大读者的倾心。
一个8个月的孩子，就可以感受到本书画面中的熟悉的东西：月亮、炉火、老鼠。
就象孩子的睡前祈祷，《晚安月亮》陪伴全世界百万的孩子们进入梦乡。
#3:The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle(1979)中文版《好饿好饿的毛毛虫》，已出版。
今年3月20日，这条毛毛虫度过了它40岁的生日，全球限量发行了本书的立体书。
（台版也有的哦~）/short_video.html，这是ERICCARLE网站上发的和本书有关的视频。
《好饿的毛毛虫》当年，作为年轻的平面设计师，卡尔构想了一本“A Week WithWilliWorm"书，他希望用一种特别页面加洞设计，来表现一条很饿的虫子吃过很多食物变胖的故事。
和编辑交流后，编辑对WORM不感兴趣，建议一条毛毛虫，卡尔即答：“蝴碟。
”于是，利用这些元素，《好饿的毛毛虫》成为世界广为流传的图画书。
本书各页采用了不用形状和宽度，在美国本土找不到价格低廉的印刷商，最后这书是在日本印制的。
从那时起，基本上每一分钟售出一本此书。
随着时光的流逝，卡尔后来又对他早期的很多绘本进行了再创作，其中就包括这本。
他利用棉薄纸上色后形成特殊的质感和表现力，然后再剪出合适的形状进行粘帖。
（具体的制作方法，在卡尔的个人网站的视频中可见他的亲自操作。
）2002年11月，卡尔和妻子、朋友、同事们，一起创办了Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art（图画书艺术博物馆）——这是美国第一家展示原创图画书艺术的博物馆。
#4:The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats(1962)中文版已出，书名《下雪天》。
这本书画面非常简洁，为孩子展示了一个快乐的雪日。
（该书背景方面，值得注意的是主人公形象是个黑肤色孩子。
）作者KEATS在1964年建立了一个基金会，鼓励更多有才华的孩子和艺术家的创作。
#5:Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by MoWillems (2003)中文版《别让鸽子开巴士》，已出版。
这是本互动性非常强的书，而且画面简洁，让小读者可以完全融入阅读和情节参与的乐趣之中。
巴士司机有事离开，请你（对，就是你，小读者）来帮他盯着点那只鸽子，千万不要让它开巴士。
